As long, hot summer days on the beach dissolve into sultry, starry nights, Brittany and Zach find that the sparks between them are more powerful than ever. Could it be that the second time around, their dreams of a happy-ever-after will finally come true?

I don't know many people who haven't dreamt of being Indiana Jones, if even for a brief time. Go ahead, live vicariously through the superb heroine in SOME KIND OF WONDERFUL!
Married for just 10 blissful days, Brittany Forrest was left heartbroken when her husband Zach Flynn up and left her. The archaeologist now spends most of her time on digs around the world, but Brittany has returned to Puffin Island to heal after a broken hand has her sidelined. She had no clue that Zach was back in town, flying the wealthy around and charging enough to keep the entire island fed for a month. All the old feelings are brought to the surface when she sees the one time bad boy, and even though she pretends to be indifferent to him, the two of them still let off enough heat to burn down Castaway Cottage. Can these two old flames breathe new life into their grown up relationship?
SOME KIND OF WONDERFUL is the second book in the Puffin Island Series and I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it! For one, it was a second chance romance that didn't start with the dude leaving for altruistic reasons…Zach just panicked at being married. The thought of being trapped forever by one woman made him break out in hives and he fled. Dr. Brittany was a kick ass heroine who conquered academia and her real world digs, but who had an irrational fear of spiders. The chemistry that the two of them emitted was seriously toe curling; the sex scenes surprisingly raw and erotic and full of primal, up against the wall animalistic sex. Yes, please!! Who knew an island named after a funny little bird could generate this kind of passion, lust and fierce protectiveness?!
My only suggestion is to very carefully edit SOME KIND OF WONDERFUL prior to final publication as there were quite a bit of errors. Other than that and the abrupt ending, I found this book to be fun yet filled with its own throbbing pulse that kept me engaged and flipping through the pages at breakneck speed.
Bottom Line: While the cover evokes feelings of chick lit, the book is most definitely one super sexy romance, with some down and dirty lovin' along with a sarcastic humor that left me LOL'ing.
