However, he knows he is the only one who can keep her safe from the evil that stalks Eden. While he tries to convince her he is the wolf of her heart, she is playing hard to get, and Zack is fearful he will lose her before he can mark her as his own.
While Zack and Charlene are finding their way into love, an evil jinni who has wreaked havoc on the town of Eden for decades decides he wants Charlene for his own. When she learns the truth of her heritage, Zack hopes he can convince her he is the other half of her soul before it's too late.

Forced to move to Eden, the one place her mother told her to stay away from, Charlene Johnson comes face to face with secrets and Zack, a man of mystery who claims she is his mate, in this thrilling paranormal romance.
Zack wants a family of his own but he has to convince Charlene that he is her other half before it's too late. The reader can't help but get caught up in the story as Charlene discovers just how right Zack may be. The chemistry heats up the pages and the sex scenes are steamy with lots of tension and excitement building throughout the story, as learning about the past puts Charlene's life in danger. The strong compelling characters draw the readers in while the fast paced and smooth flowing plot keeps readers on the edge with lots of suspense, turmoil and passion.
The author has created a fascinating world with some unique elements that promises to be entertaining. I certainly enjoyed this quick introduction to the world of Jinni Hunters, but I do have to say that I think the story would have been better if it had been a little longer so that some of the events, elements and world building could have been expanded on, especially as the story is split with events that are taking place with a Homeland Security agent. I am looking forward to reading the next book and finding out how the author proceeds with that agent's story.

I knew after the first few pages this was a different werewolf tale from those I had read in the past. It grabs you in the first page and doesn't let go.
Author Sharon Buchbinder sets the stage for this book with a murder at a mine shaft in Eden Kentucky. Homeland Security is in charge of the operation and something goes very wrong resulting in a death. At this point, I realized this was not the average werewolf story I had read in the past. Ms. Buchbinder has set the stage for an action packed werewolf romance.
Zachariah Abingdon and the wolf pack are on their monthly run; this time it is a run for their lives to they escape certain death. These two scenes set the stage for author Buchbinder's story-line.
Zach has waited for his mate since the first time he saw her photograph, he is growing impatient with the wait and his wolf is demanding its' mate. Zach is lonely and yearns for a companion, lover, and children.
Charlene Johnson has just lost her parents in a bizarre auto accident. Charlene, alone with a severely handicapped brother, no money, and out of options returns to her mother's home town, Eden, Kentucky. Eden is the one place her mother warned her to not go near; secrets upon secrets, upon secrets, was her mothers mantra about this town.
What follows is a different take on the werewolf story, as we have evil jinns, a woman who does not know her families true history and a sexual attraction to Zach that is instance and intense. Come along with Zach and Charlene as they love, discover the answers to secrets and mysteries, and fight a life or death battle.
CHARACTERS, PLOTTING, AND DEVELOPMENT:
Author Sharon Buchbinder created a paranormal romance in which she dates the existence of werewolves and jinns back to early biblical times. She has included everything needed to create an intriguing paranormal romance; mystery, secrets, vile jinns, and a town of wonderful and colorful werewolves; Ms. Buchbinder even included Homeland Security and an agent with a surprising last name; Ms. Buchbinder added a tad of mystery involving this agent.
Ms. Buchbinder started this book with a bang, and from the first pages, you realize this is an intriguing tale of werewolves and jinns with a different slant than you have read in the past. Ms. Buchbinder hooked me in those first pages and I read this book straight through.
Ms. Buchbinder's plot is intriguing and well-developed, as she weaves the threads of the story-line together. This book has a lot of action, mystery, secrets upon secrets, and hot steamy love scenes. The sex scenes and descriptions are explicit.
Though a short read, Ms. Buchbinder pacing, plotting, and development were solid and on target for the length of the book.
I found the story-line refreshing as it did not follow the usual werewolf tales. The characters in this book were well-developed. Ms. Buchbinder packed a lot into a short read that will leave you wanting more.
This book has a great story-line, well-developed characters, and a plot that you will love. I recommend this book for young adult and adult due to sexual content and violence. Anyone that likes a solid paranormal romance will love this book.
