Who knew dragons were such passionate creatures?

As a writer, Grace Clark is used to escaping reality on a regular basis, but when she finds herself face to face with a DRAGON, she knows she's utterly lost it. Having taken shelter in a cave when the rain hits while she's writing outdoors, she's pretty surprised when a VERY sexy nekked man suddenly shows up.

The Dragon King Arian has been asleep for 600 years, only recently awakening to battle a threat to his home. When he spots the tiny woman typing away on a laptop in the middle of his cave, he's certain she's a mole from his enemy. As Grace waits out the storm, she learns about a magical realm that she never knew existed...and she falls hard for Arian. Will the war and his true form be enough to make her run away in fear, or is she Arian's eternal mate?

DRAGON KING is a novella in the Dark Kings Series by Ms. Grant, and also a stand-alone book in the innovative and fun 1001 Dark Nights Series featuring magical and mystical erotic stories by a variety of popular authors inspired by the classic The Arabian Nights tale. I usually enjoy the supernatural elements featured in the books in this collection, but I'll admit that immortal dragons were a bit outside of my comfort zone. Do dragons even have penises? Do chicks get turned on by riding on the back of a flying dragon? I can't wrap my mind around the logistics of this. But I digress.

Regardless of my personal standpoint on the intimacy of dragons, DRAGON KING was an interesting read that held my attention for the duration. Arian and Grace had chemistry that showed both in Arian's control of the weather and Grace's writing. She was captivated by the man who turned into a turquoise monstrosity; he was intrigued by the woman who could weave stories with her fingers. They live in completely different worlds yet the two of them felt at home when they were together. The sex was short but sensual, the angst minimal, the suspense even shorter. The best part, to me, was the descriptions of Scotland, which were stunning and made me want to book a flight, STAT.

Bottom Line: While this wasn't MY personal cuppa, you ladies that fancy yourselves a dragon honey (or fans of the Dark Kings Series) will dig this novella.
