Book 3 of The Billionaires
Erotic Romance, LGBTQ, Ménage or more

My name is Mia Beck, and I'm a lucky girl.

Billionaire Damien Call didn't magically stop being moody just because Jake and I moved in with him. I'd be discouraged if I hadn't devised a strategy. I recently inherited a share in an exclusive erotic club, and they're beta testing a role-play game. Surrounded by period perfect detail, members pretend to be Edwardian lords and ladies . . . or stable masters, if they prefer.

I hope switching up our dynamic will smooth the snags in our otherwise fabulous ménage. Neither of my lovers has trouble opening his heart to me, but I suspect Damien would benefit from exploring his dominant side, and he and Jake could be easier with each other.

That's my goal anyway. My plan might go up in smoke when Jake and Damien concoct their own scheme for me!

Another glimpse into the life of triad Damien, Mia and Jake, sign me up! In LORD AND MASTER, if readers are expecting a smoking hawt kinky contemporary threesome, it's time to reset your expectations. This book completely threw me. This story takes roleplay to another level. As in, the story goes from contemporary to historical kinky romance. Not a fan of this twist.

I avoid historical romances because for the most part, they no longer interest me. In this one, it feels as if 80% of the book is in the historical setting. One can't tell if Mia, Damien and Jake are actually playing a role or if they are really feeling what is going on in their roleplaying. Still, Ms. Holly does a nice job of setting the roleplaying up. Mia wants to test run a week at their erotic club with a historical setting. Members want to enjoy being servants or aristocrats. Jake and Mia convince Damien to take a week off and beta test out the bugs before they offer it to members.

Now if this was just kinky BDSM roleplay, it would have been fine. Ms. Holly entwines relationship issues between the triad in this roleplaying. These deeper issues are to be resolved during the week. The thing is, what is reality and what is acting? It is a bit difficult for the reader to figure out. It could be done this way on purpose because even Mia and Damien are experiencing difficulty between reality and fantasy. This kind of writing is not good for me. I am not interested in mixing fantasy and reality in this manner for a fiction book. It's like a dream within dream from the movie Inception. Not something I was expecting.

Ms. Holly does a decent job of switching from one reality to another. The transitions still left me a little dazed and confused. The conflicts in this story are all resolved even if it isn't to my satisfaction. It is done in a realistic manner which makes me angry because I really wanted vindication for Damien. I wanted his family to see the truth of the matter but this will never happen. This makes me mad because the abuse Damien suffered is just not something I can let go. It's a violent ripping away of innocence and persecuting a victim which just leaves me frothing with rage. Fortunately for this sexy triad, they are able to make peace with Damien's past and they are all the better for it.

From an erotic perspective, I loved the book. From the way the book is written, I am mixed. Recommended for kink readers who want their contemporary and historical erotica at the same time.

How do I love thee, Emma Holly? Let me count the ways…

When private investigators Mia Beck and Jake Reed began investigating Damien Call, neither of them anticipated falling in love with each other…or their target. Now, the three are living blissfully, but Mia thinks she knows of a way to get the men to become more affectionate with one another: invite them to a special role play game at her exclusive sex club, where the 3 of them can explore some of their delicious fantasies. Becoming early 1900's Edwardian figures for the week allows the 3 to get outside of their comfort zones and enjoy some much needed downtime. This new Mia, Damien and Jake get up to some risqué fun...and learn some hard truths about their unconventional relationship in the process.

LORD & MASTER is the third book in the sexy as sin The Billionaires Series and the sequel to BECK & CALL. I loved Mia, Damian and Jake in that book, and I loved them just as much, if not more, in LORD & MASTER. The three of them have this terrific power exchange that's both fun and erotic as hell. Even though "technically," Jake is the most dominant of the three, Mia encourages Damien to take on that role too (and she gets her chance once in a while as well). Not only was the sex sinfully wildly crazily decadent, but it was such a unique take on the typical historical romance that we all know and love!

And naturally, because it's an MMF read, the book was made even more delectable for yours truly. I particularly enjoyed when the characters slipped out of their 1900's personas here and there (particularly Sawyer), and after awhile it became hard to tell whether the modern or acting was winning out. Though there were a good amount of editing errors in LORD & MASTER, because the story was so unique and fun it they didn't detract from my overall enjoyment.

Bottom Line: EVERYTHING by Ms. Holly is phenomenal, and LORD & MASTER is no exception. Fans of MMF, historical, contemporary and just about anything else will adore this one!
