SUMMARY
Eve Sawyer had a bright future ahead of her when a tragic accident costs her everything. Now, twelve years later, desperation for all she has been missing compels her to seek comfort and pleasure in the arms of strangers. A few hours indulging in anonymous sex with a man named Nate gave her more pleasure than she ever dreamed possible; unfortunately past experiences hadn't given her any hope that night could ever lead to anything more. After meeting Nate again and succumbing to his erotic coercion to enter into a sex-only affair, she soon discovers all the different ways a man with a creative imagination can give a woman with limitations the exciting, pleasurable adventures she has been craving.
Nate Radcliff never had trouble forgetting a woman once he left her bed until he spent the night having sex with a woman who insisted on keeping her name a secret and her face hidden in the dark. A few weeks later, a chance encounter has him coming face to face with the woman he's been obsessing about, and with the fact she is blind. Immediately struck with both lust and admiration for the lengths Eve is willing to go to to brighten her dark world, he becomes determined to give her the adventures and sex she craves.
For weeks Eve basks in the decadent pleasures Nate and his friends give her, making sure she keeps her heart guarded from hoping for more, even when Nate insists their sex-only affair has grown into something more. Just when his persistence starts to pay off and Eve becomes open to a future with him, her best friend, Holly, returns to town, her jealousy and possessiveness threatening to drive them apart. Eve refuses to believe anything bad about Holly, the only person who has stayed faithfully by her side through thick and thin, which drives a wedge between her and Nate. In the end, Eve's refusal to see her friend's true motives comes close to not only costing her the man she loves, but to costing her life.

Two people that have something in common--they have a woman set them up for one night for meaningless sex because of a tragic incident that happened in their lives.

This is the first book in a new series by Ms. Wane that I read that left me wanting more. I have enjoyed her writing skills and how captivating her stories are, the amount of emotions that are felt while reading the story. That is one thing that I love about a book--just getting lost in the story. This was a refreshing read; it had a different storyline and how a blind woman after her accident succeeded. But there was one thing missing from her life--the sense of adventure and finding that one man that can make her happy.

Then you have the man that has his own issues with his family and with what happened with his sister. He is one that doesn't trust women and believe that all they want is his last name. But all that changes the night he goes into a hotel room of a woman who doesn't stay what her name is and who also wants the lights to stay off.

Eve is a woman that had dreams of going to Julliard but all that changed when she was in an accident with her boyfriend. They had just shared a romantic night and then everything went black. He died in the accident and she ended up staying blind. She is now independent and has a wonderful job but the pain is still there every anniversary of the death of Bobby. So she ended up taking the bait of her next door neighbors about having someone set her up for a night of meaningless sex and those encounters were okay, but when she sets up this night right after her thirtieth birthday, it is explosive. This man took his time with her and she couldn't recall how many times she came but knows that it was just one night.

Nate is a man that lost his sister at a very young age. He is not close to his family but will speak with them when needed. He is a playboy and doesn't trust women. He has been seeing someone casually but it seems that she doesn't understand that he doesn't do commitment. On the anniversary of his sister's death, he calls up a friend and sets up a one night sexual encounter but something happens. The difference about this encounter is that she doesn't talk about herself, she doesn't want the lights on when he comes into the room and he needs to be gone by morning. But what he didn't expect was that he would end up desiring this woman more than once, twice, thrice or so on throughout the night. The most interesting thing was that he couldn't forget about her. He never thought he would end up running into her and learning that she was blind.

What was supposed to be an affair ended up being something more and Nate couldn't believe that he the playboy was falling for a woman. He spent a lot of his time with her and he didn't get tired of being with her. I knew that Eve tried to distance herself from him because the day that he would stop seeing her she would get hurt, but no matter what she did she kept seeing him. They were a beautiful couple and they both deserved to be happy together. But of course there is always a person or maybe persons that always want to ruin something good, and in this case it was Eve's best friend. Nate wished that he should have listened to Eve's neighbors in regards to Holly.

Well, what can I say about Holly? She was a woman that seemed infatuated with Eve, and it seemed she didn't want anyone to have her attention that should only be for Holly. There was something from the very beginning that I didn't like about her but I thought maybe, just maybe later on in the book I would change my mind. There are many twists and turns in this story and in the end I was shocked, sad but then happy all in one.

BLINDSIDED was an exceptional read. Ms. Wane delivered this story with emotion, heartache and laughter all wrapped up in one story. I love stories with dual POV because I want to know what each character is thinking about the events that are happening. Eve was a person that is smart, sexy and she was a spitfire. She's blunt and that was awesome. Now as for Nate he was an alpha male which I loved. He was a dominant man that loved a kink to his sex and loved how Eve reacted to what he did and what he wanted.

As for the chemistry between these two, all I have to say is that it was scorching HOT. The chemistry was instant. The sex scenes were tastefully written. The pace of this story was perfect and I can't wait to see what Ms. Wane has next in the Virginia Bluebloods series!!

I totally recommend this read!!
