Lethal in Love is a steamy romantic suspense about an instinct-driven detective and a sexy, scoop-hungry reporter, both on the hunt for a sadistic killer.
Jayda Thomasz is a sassy homicide detective who never lets her emotions get in the way of a case. So when a serial killer re-emerges after 25 years, the last thing she expects is to catch herself fantasising over the hot, smooth-talking stranger who crosses the path of her investigation.
Seth Friedin is a reporter chasing the story that'll make his career. When he enters the world of swinging for research, he never imagines he'll be distracted by a hard-talking female detective whose kiss plagues his mind long after she's gone.
Past experience has shown Jayda that reporters are ruthless and unscrupulous. But when the murders get personal, will she make a deal with the devil to catch the killer? How far will she and Seth have to go? And do you ever really know who you can trust?

Warning: Please note you cannot start reading from this installment. You have to read Episode 1 and 2 in order to understand the story.
This installment is a direct continuation of the previous one, and we see things escalate to a point that has Jayda to the breaking point. Higher stakes, higher tension, the lengths to which the villain went to is terrifying and utterly depraved. Who could it be?
Unfortunately, one of my suspects is dead. So I have, like, 3 or 4 more on who the Night Terror could be. And I am stabbing in the dark, meaning, I can discern no reason why he/she could be targetting Jayda.
And Jayda continued to be her prickly, bitchy self, ostensibly to keep Seth at arms' length. And also because she valued her independence and accept no help from anyone. I mean, I get that, but there's such a thing as taking it too far. Boy, was I cheering when Seth finally had enough of her attitude and left her! Jayda did have a 180 degree change in attitude after a horrifying event, and she became almost nice.
Jayda aside, LETHAL IN LOVE is a gripping page-turning read with increasing stakes and ramped-up tension. I can't wait to find out who the villain is and what his/her motivations are. I have to commend the author as it surely isn't easy to get a reader riled up to the point of disliking the heroine and yet, have this same reader frantically turning the pages to know what happens next. Looking forward to the next installment!
