Book 2 of Greenway Range
Contemporary Romance, Romantic Suspense/Mystery

With his military career over and his ego bruised, Jason McAdams is ready to start over. As a founding partner in Greenway Range, his new life is everything he'd ever dared to dream about, but it also puts him in constant contact with the one woman he can't have: his best friend's little sister.

Molly Cain has loved Jason for as long as she can remember, and seeing him now--damaged and self-destructive--is a constant heartache. Watching him numbly work his way through woman after woman is damn near intolerable. Until one summer night changes everything.

After a rocky start, the sex is hot and naughty and all Molly knew it would be. And when he makes another pass at her, Molly doesn't say no. Or the many times after that, either. But Jason carries a secret—one that's kept him away from Molly for all these years, one that could ruin everything. He's been shot at and seen death, but letting the woman he loves find out the truth is the real worst case scenario…

How long can a woman be expected to wait on a man to realize she's his future?

Being stuck in the friend zone was fine for Molly Cain and Jason McAdams for years, but when he returned from Afghanistan, something changed. Molly can't stand to see the man she's been in love with her whole life lose himself in women and bad choices, and she finally decides it's time to let go of the dream of the two of them sharing a happily ever after. Jason hates the distance that's grown between him and Molly, but he's determined to fix it. She's the only thing that grounds him and makes him want to be a better man. But Molly's over him, and Jason will have one hell of a time trying to convince her to take a chance on him now, especially when she finds out about his part in one specific event in their past that altered her future forever.

I must read the first book in this series! I absolutely loved LINE OF FIRE, I loved Molly and Jason together, I loved the secondary characters and I loved everything about this group of San Diego friends! It's always fun to read about the dude getting his comeuppance when he's done a woman wrong, and Jason certainly gets that and more from Molly. Their chemistry was undeniably hot, and they absolutely set the bedroom on fire like it was kindling. The book wasn't over the top erotic but it was tasteful and sinful and so sexy.

The secondary storyline between Jason's brother Marcus and his non-boyfriend Will was also superhot, and I can't wait for their full story. While this book won't win any awards for originality, it more than makes up for that fact with excellent writing, well-developed characters, humor and heat.

Bottom Line: I need more from this group of friends!
