Action/Adventure Romance, BDSM, Erotic Romance, Historical Romance
Life as a buccaneer in the Caribbean in 1668 is not for the faint of heart, but at least Gaston Galette has a beautiful wife at his side and in his bed. During the day she serves as the ship's physician, while at night in his cabin she is his saucy yet submissive wench.
But after countless brushes with death, Gaston has begun to wonder if it might be time to give up swashbuckling for good. The urgency of the matter is increased when, despite her stubborn refusal to acknowledge the obvious, it becomes clear that Frederica is carrying his child.
Having already lost one family years ago, Gaston cannot stand the thought of losing another, and as far as he is concerned it is time to start building a new life on dry land. Fearing the loss of everything he holds dear, Gaston is determined to convince Frederica to return with him to the Carolina colony and the home he left behind so long ago. But will the strong-willed lass allow herself to be tamed by the buccaneer?
Publisher's Note: Tamed by the Buccaneer is the third book of the Pirates of the Jolie Rouge trilogy, which began with Rescued by the Buccaneer and continued with Bound by the Buccaneer. This adventure and erotic romance novel includes spankings, sexual scenes including a threesome, elements of BDSM, and more.

TAMED BY THE BUCCANEER by Normandie Alleman is a story from the Stormy Night collection that is a combination of historical romance, delicious pirates, and love. Book 3 in the Pirates of the Jolie Rouge Series, this reads well as a standalone story and Ms. Alleman does a great job of offering up tidbits, as reference from the first two stories and just enough to get you to want to read those as well.
The story opens with Gaston cajoling Frederica to join him in a romp, as he is always randy before battle. What we quickly learn is that this couple (husband and wife) will soon be fighting one of their cruelest enemies in a long anticipated battle. Gaston is secure in his battle plans and Frederica is a nervous wreck.
Without giving away spoilers, as the story progresses, I found the character development to be well done. I enjoyed the relationship and the love between the couple, as well as their interactions with the other characters. There is a certain level of kink (BDSM) in the story that is well-blended into the erotic scenes as well as in the heads of the characters, and I absolutely loved the ménage a trois from Frederica's perspective, but you'll have to read the story to understand why. And well, PIRATES! Who doesn't love a good pirate love story?
Overall, I found this to be a well thought out story that has all the elements of fun storytelling in a historical romance. I found every aspect of it to be enjoyable and definitely recommend it.
