- Book 3 of Cleveland Clash
Cleveland Clash center Jade Wren longs for something more than teaching elementary school and marrying a nice Korean guy. Maybe that's why she suddenly kisses a sexy stranger at a bar. Except the guy turns out to be sports radio shock jock Rome Rizzelli, and as far as her team is concerned, he's Public Enemy No. 1.
Rome isn't the kind of guy to argue when a beautiful woman kisses him, but now his producer has invited Jade to talk about women's pro football on his show. It's a battle of the sexes—a battle he needs to win to save his job and continue to support his disabled mother and younger sister. But the sexy center is no pushover, and Rome can't decide whether that's a turn-on or a reason to fight even harder.
When the gloves—among other things—come off, can two strong personalities who have found security in keeping up appearances let down their guards long enough to fall in love?

KEEPING SCORE was just one more reminder not to judge a book by its cover.
Radio shock jock Rome Rizzelli is PISSED! After his producer is fired and the station manager insists he play nice to win back some family friendly advertisers, Rome is stuck covering WOMEN'S PRO FOOTBALL! Of all things. Cleveland Clash center Jade Wren is set to celebrate her team's playoff victory, but an anonymous and spontaneous kiss in the stairwell has her about to combust…especially when she finds out it was that asshole Rome Rizzelli on the receiving end of the lip lock!
Now, Rome's manager wants him and Jade to square off on the air, but it's the sizzle that is generated between the two of them that has Jade wanting to shed her "good girl" roots and go after this bad boy. But Rome is not willing to go down without a fight, except maybe on the hot as sin Jade. Working together won't be a real hardship…except when he realizes she's after his job…
KEEPING SCORE is book 3 of the Cleveland Clash Series about a professional women's football team, and I have to admit that I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it. It was very much a "you go girl!" kinda book, and while I dig that very much, I sort of felt like Rome deserved to win at least ONCE in awhile! Jeesh, poor guy! Anyway, it's still a fun, easy read that gives a cool inside look at the cutthroat broadcast industry and what it takes to get…and stay…on top. Rome became a bit whiny and self destructive when he didn't get his way, but I love how kick ass Jade was, she was one seriously rockin' woman! There was only one mildly graphic sex scene, and while it was decently hot, it just wasn't enough to sate my want since there was so much fabulous chemistry between them. I would read additional books in this intriguing series.
Bottom Line: Good girl power read that made me feel a little bad for the dude, but I still enjoyed it!
