One woman out for revenge. Two beasts call to her. Will she be able to determine who is the real monster in this tale of love and hate?
Bel is out for revenge in this interesting take on the Beauty and the Beast fairytale. Her father blames Nate and Liam, the leaders of The Beasts, for her mother's death. Bel is to provide retribution for that loss by killing the men once they are manipulated into letting her into their club. It is not as easy as she thought to keep her distance from these men who prove easier to love than hate.
It is not easy to survive in this post-apocalyptic world after The Wave was caused by a governmental weapon. The survivors formed clubs and their own judicial system to provide some structure. There are few women left and one of the characters is in an all women club that offer some women to the men of the other clubs for a fee. When one of their members is attacked by Bel's father (to set up their plan), Bel agrees to take her place and belong to The Beasts.
It is a story with a strong sexual theme. Nate and Liam are much more than just leaders of the club and friends. They are lovers as well and don't hide that relationship. They welcome Bel into their relationship to form a triad. The club is very carnal in their delights and pretty much anything goes. When she walks through the club, there are women with multiple men and men with men and just about any other combination that is enjoyable to the participants. Nate and Liam show her just how much they enjoy each other. She is not used to sex being so out in the open. The process for becoming a member of the club is based on sexually submitting to the leaders as well.
The characters have all lost people they love and cling to those they have left. The desire to retain that tie to the past pushes Bel into a dangerous situation. She agrees to kill those responsible for the death of her mother without understanding all the facts. When she is forced to spend time with them, she sees they are not the monsters she expected. They love one another and will open their hearts to her if she can let go of the past. It is an erotic story as well as a love story. For a shorter story, it packs quite a punch.
