I always enjoy a PI read, but I just wish this one was longer and gave me some depth.

Bianca Ferris is determined to be the first female mayor of Bane City, FL, but the married law professor might have a problem when her affair with sexy escort Pierre Borneau is threatening to be exposed. Private investigator (and Pierre's former lover) Jacquie Dumont and her assistant Trey Benefiel are on the case with a blackmail scheme of their own.

OF POWER AND PASSION is a shortie read (just 32 pages) that's big on lusty sex. I usually loathe cheating storylines, however Bianca's douchebag hubby and the horrible mayor incumbent weren't getting my sympathy. Pierre was unapologetic about his career, though he did lament letting Jacquie get away all those years ago. Jacquie was passionate and sexy and intelligent, and her assistant Trey was likewise delectable. And the end certainly left open the potential for more cases for the duo (and possibly an encore by Pierre).

Bottom Line: Short, sweet and sexy evening or weekend read.
