Book 2 of Immortal Realms
BDSM, Erotic Romance, Ménage or more, Paranormal Romance, Vamps & Shifters Romance

Long ago Javier chose to walk away from the one person who mattered in his life. Now that he is free once again to roam the Earth, he becomes obsessed with making up for past mistakes. His mission is to gain Catherine's vote for the vampires on the Immortal Council, but when he sees her he realizes he wants much more. He wants her heart. When she disappears from the Council's halls, he tracks her down, determined to make her remember the past -- and the love they once shared.

Catherine can't let her passion for Javier rekindle -- no matter what the cost. Much has changed since he abandoned her so long ago. With the Immortal Council fragmented and her werewolf king abducted, Catherine has little patience for Javier's empty promises. Still, he is persistent, and she sees the value in having an ancient vampire for an ally. They strike a deal: she will submit to his every carnal desire if he will help find her king. Unfortunately, things don't go as planned, and their erotic interludes ignite the passionate anger of Catherine's only fey ally. Now, all three of their lives are in jeopardy. To survive, Javier must build an intimate bond with the only woman who has ever rejected his love, and a man who'd like nothing more than to see him dead.

This dark, paranormal romance could be read as a stand alone
novel, and will also appeal to lovers of erotic romance. It is primarily a m/f romance, but contains m/f/m (between main characters), m/m (between secondary characters), flogging, exhibitionism, and capture and bondage.

We all make choices we regret. Most of the time, there's no way to make amends because second chances don't come around very often. So when Javier is able to roam the Earth once again, he's obsessed with searching for his beloved Catherine.

He wants her vote to restore vampires to the Immortal Council. Unfortunately, he walked away from her two centuries ago without looking back. (Talk about carrying a long-term torch!) He must convince her she is the only woman he loves and she belongs at his side. And he knows just how to persuade her. By seducing her with every scrap of charm and magick his vampire skills afford him.

Once Javier finds Catherine, he realizes she's not the same young wolf he remembers. She's stubborn, refuses to fall into his arms, and is on a dangerous, undercover mission with her fey partner Talen. Javier hates that Catherine is in danger and wants to whisk her away to safety. Instead, she agrees to submit to his every desire if he agrees to help her with her mission. The deal is struck. (What male wouldn't agree to that kind of proposition, right?)

Javier's, Catherine's, and Talen's lives are threatened when the sadistic fey king Feroas reveals his plans to destroy the were and fey races. Feroas traps the three of them in his caravan. Javier must find a way to save them all or Catherine will never forgive him and let him back into her heart.

I enjoyed reading about Javier and Catherine. And let me just say Javier's ability to invade Catherine's mind and seduce her by playing off her own fantasies is an amazing skill. And those ribbons of energy Javier used…holy wow—I'm just sayin'. The steaming hot sensuality fogged up my Kindle!

My only disappointment with the storyline involves the Immortal Council, Senators, and Barcelona. Each of these things, names and places were mentioned but not really explained. My confusion led me to believe I should have read the first book in order to understand the second. Maybe I just needed more back story to follow the plot because this book is truly character driven.

If you love sizzling eroticism or are already a Suzanne Rock fan, DARK OBSESSION will not disappoint.
