SUMMARY
From the first moment Alexandria saw the duke she knew he would be hers.

Determined to get the man she wants, she devises a plan, curbs her reckless nature, and presents the proper lady his nobility requires. The interference of her brothers disrupts her amorous pursuit, yet the feisty girl seduces the lord with a woman's passion, and brands the duke hers forever.

One impulsive kiss from a young girl, who flirts with danger, shakes Giles' firm resolve.

The young American, Alexandra, is wild and reckless, and before long Giles realizes she's too much to handle. Though he surrenders, a duke must adhere to his duty. His title demands his home is in England.

Once back on his native soil, a tormented longing for the woman who branded his very soul causes him to forsake nobility and return to claim the love he has carelessly thrown away.

Seventeen-year-old Alexandria Carmichael loves nothing more than running around in breeches and riding astride her horse. That is, until the man of her dreams returns.

Unbeknownst to him, Miss Carmichael has her sights set on Giles, the Duke of Nethersall. Set in 1825, author Samantha Wyatt delivers the third story in her One and Only series with THE ONLY ONE.

Set in both America and England, this is a classic tale of a seemingly mismatched pair. What's a hoyden from New Orleans doing thinking she could become a duchess?

With a quick wit and fiery spirit, Alexandria provides an unexpected temptation to the Duke. As events unfold, Nethersall focuses on his duty to marry a suitable woman of good breeding.

Although there's plenty of passion, it doesn't overwhelm the storyline. More than anything, the reader is left with a feeling of satisfaction that love can find a way to win.

While this is the third book in the series, it may be read as a standalone without any problems.
