After he punched out his commanding officer, firefighter Connor Wabsik's only shot at redemption is leaving everything behind and moving to a sleepy mountain town. But destiny has a surprise in store for Connor in this captivating paranormal romance.

Detective Andy McGuire has been unlucky in love but things just might be changing when he meets Connor. The reader can't help but get pulled into the romance as a serial arsonist threatens this blossoming relationship. The chemistry between Andy and Connor is hot to the max but the relationship is a sweet buildup of desires and romance as the two try to work things out. Connor has a major secret and Andy has some past relationship issues to overcome which has quite a bit of emotional turmoil flowing from the pages. The characters are strong, compelling and draw the readers into their story while the fast paced and smooth flowing plot captivates readers with suspense, excitement and romance.

Intrigue builds throughout the story as mysterious fires have Andy and Connor questioning motives. Excitement builds as the fires become deadly and threaten to tear the couple apart. There is some additional adrenaline-pumping excitement involving a bear which leads to a startling revelation that adds spice and depth to the story. The suspense keeps the readers on the edge of their seat while the well written scenes make it easy for the reader to become caught up in the story.

Lionhearts is a bit different from other series in that the shifters are loners and the stories take place in different parts of the world. This means I get to visit different places and the variety in characters adds spice to the story. Connor and Andy are fine examples of sexy California heroes.
