A sweet, short romance that takes you into the lives of a fiancée recovering from the loss of her love in Afghanistan and a returned, disfigured POW Marine.
Sarah Larson wears the engagement ring from Logan around her neck, always, but has decided that it is time to move on and live her life. She has been promoted at work and is starting to consider dating again when she receives a text from Brandon Perdue who says he served with Logan and would like to meet with Sarah to talk. Severely burned in a helo crash, he is still learning to deal with looks and comments from strangers and the PTSD of being a POW as he builds a security company with a buddy.
The true to life dialogue and emotions of both the H/h will reel you in and then you get hit with a great plot twist that is a game changer. You can easily read this novelette in one sitting and it will definitely leave you with a smile and warm fuzzies at the end.
