- Book 2 of O'Brien Family
Once he was broken beyond repair. Now this MMA contender is fighting to be a better man—for her. RT Book Reviews proclaims that the O'Brien Family series from award-winning author Cecy Robson "has the hottest brothers ever!" And in Let Me, it is Finn's turn to discover how love can heal the deepest wounds.
A mixed martial arts star on the rise, Finn O'Brien dismantles his opponents with brutal precision. And yet beneath his fierce persona, Finn is raw from a trauma he's buried for years . . . until the day his deep-rooted rage erupts and lands him in court-mandated therapy. Finn's not one to bare his soul, but if talking it out means meeting beautiful women like Sol Marieles, he'll give it a shot.
Sol is working toward her masters degree in psychology, and already she feels like she's in over her head. With an important internship on the line and a scary family situation demanding her attention, the last thing Sol needs is Finn around to distract her. The man is ripped and seriously sexy yet it's his troubled side that warns her to keep her distance. But their attraction is intense, and he clearly has the heat to see how far and fast their passion takes them.
Alone, Finn and Sol have been fighting to find happiness in their lives. Together, there's no stopping them as they face their greatest challenges—not in the ring, but in their hearts.

The second book in the popular O'Brien Family series by Cecy Robson gives Finn the happy ending he so very much deserves, but the road to happiness is a rocky one.
LET ME tells the story of Finn O'Brien and Sol Marieles. We already find out a bit about Finn in the first book in the O'Brien Family series, Once Kissed, and know that he went through a traumatic event in his childhood. Now a successful MMA star, Finn channels his aggression into his sport, but some situations and emotions can still be overwhelming. Finn never completely processed what happened to him, but just tried to block it out. When he starts having flashbacks however, everything comes back with a frenzy.
Sol Marieles is on the way to getting her Master's degree in psychology. With a mentally ill mother, helping others has always been Sol's goal. At the same time, she struggles with the burden of caring for a mother who has become hallucinogenic, violent, confused, and suicidal and doesn't recognize her own daughter anymore.
Finn and Sol have always been attracted to each other. Since Sol's cousin and Finn's brother are married, they see each other often on family functions. Now they've finally decided to give in to their chemistry, but with both of their personal lives being so complicated and Finn's emotional problems, they have a long way to go to find happiness with each other.
Once Kissed, the first book in this series, is my all-time read favorite by this author. The O'Brien family has a special place in my heart and I already can't wait for Wren's story and I'm curious to find out how Cecy Robson will involve the other brothers in the series since some of them have been kept rather in the background. In my opinion, it is not necessary to read Once Kissed in order to enjoy LET ME, but I highly recommend reading it first anyway. The bond this family has and their dynamic is much easier to understand that way. Cecy Robson has a way of telling a very charming, witty story that always makes me laugh and completely draws me into the book.
LET ME has a bit of a slow start, though. I wasn't very invested in the story at first, which puzzled me because I loved Finn so much in Once Kissed. The strong emotions that Finn's trauma should have brought up weren't there for me at the beginning, but the story picked up a few chapters in.
I really felt for Sol. Her actions often speak of a confused woman, but she shoulders an incredible burden. I wish her father had stepped in more often to keep her from letting her mother's illness consume her life, and later also her relationship with Finn. Both Finn and Sol have an incredibly hard road of healing ahead of them, but it was beautiful to see them come out at the other end. I can't wait for what Cecy Robson has in store for us next. I just know it's going to be fantastic!
