Molly Ramsey seems to have it all between family and a blossoming career. As it turns out, author Crystal Firsdon ensures there are enough plot twists to make the second installment of The Song Wreckers series -- ALMOST ORDINARY.
As someone new to the series, I'm not sure how much of a back story was constructed in the first installment, but I felt like I had missed some important details. I kept getting the impression that this was more of a continuation instead of a standalone story.
One of the key examples is the circumstances leading to the birth of Molly's twins. I really thought the writer would develop the story into a menage, but it never happened. That led me to want to know more about Molly's past with Cooper.
The story follows Molly's songwriting efforts, complete with a security guy, a nanny and a crazy wild bunch of girlfriends. As the storyline progresses, it appears that Molly is trying her best to be ordinary, but circumstances continually force her off track.
The characters are full of life, complete with plenty of humor even when the going gets rough. I'd recommend starting with the first book and then staying on board for future installments.
