Norma Anders has always prided herself on her intelligence and determination. She climbed out of poverty, put herself through school and is now a chief financial advisor at Pierce Industries. She's certainly a woman who won't be topped. Not in business anyway.
But she's pretty sure she'd like to be topped in the bedroom.
Unfortunately most men see independence and ambition in a woman and they run. Even her dominant boss, Hudson Pierce has turned down her advances, leaving her to fear that she will never find the lover she's longing for.
Then the most unlikely candidate steps up. Boyd, her much-too-young and oh-so-hot assistant surprises her one night with bold suggestions and an authoritative demeanor he's never shown her in the office.
It's a bad idea…such a deliciously bad idea…but when Boyd takes the reins and leads her to sensual bliss she's never known, the headstrong Norma can't help but fall under his command.

Who wouldn't have some hot fantasies about their much younger, wildly sexy assistant!?
Norma Anders is a woman on top in the business world, but she's searching for a man who can top her in the bedroom. Being turned down by her boss stung, but when her hot young assistant Boyd Barrett steps up to the plate, she's stunned. There are so many reasons why hooking up with him is a dangerous idea…but just as many reasons to go for it. Boyd declares that Norma is most certainly the boss during working hours, but later? He's in charge. And she's definitely ok with that. Falling in love with each other is easy, but with the no-fraternization policy in their office, the two will have some tough decisions to make if they're going to have a shot at forever.
FALLING UNDER YOU is A Fixed Trilogy novella by Ms. Paige, as well as an offering in the innovative and fun 1001 Dark Nights series featuring sensual and erotic stories by a variety of popular authors inspired by the classic The Arabian Nights tale.
This book didn't really do it for me for a few reasons. While technically well written, I couldn't connect with either Norma or Boyd at all. I thought Boyd was a jerk to her while their relationship was forming, not allowing her to speak, not taking her needs or wants into consideration past her vague desire to be dominated. And Norma was wishy washy and self-absorbed, ignoring Boyd's own requests as surely as he ignored hers. Their communication seemed forced, their chemistry non-existent. The sex was just okay; just like every other aspect of this novella it just didn't do anything for me. I'm sure fans of the series will enjoy this story, but for me it fell flat.
Bottom Line: A just OK read for me, with barely likable characters that I couldn't get behind.
