Adam Turner loves women. All women. Every shape and size, regardless of hair or eye color, religion or race, he simply enjoys them all. Meeting more than his fair share as the manager and head bartender of The Odyssey, a hot spot in the heart of New Orleans' French Quarter, Adam's comfortable with his lifestyle, and sees no reason to change it. A wife and kids, plus the white picket fence are not in the cards for this confirmed bachelor. Until a beautiful woman, and her sweet princess, literally knock him on his ass.
Sarah Cox has just moved to New Orleans, having accepted a position as a social worker specializing in at-risk women and children. It's a demanding, sometimes dangerous job, but Sarah is no shy wallflower. She can handle just about anything that comes at her, even the attentions of one sexy Adam Turner. Just because he's charmed her daughter, making her think of magical kingdoms with happily ever after, doesn't mean that Sarah believes in fairy tales. But the more time she spends with the enchanting man, the more he begins to sway her into believing in forever.
Even so, when Sarah's job becomes more dangerous than any of them bargained for, will she be ripped from Adam's life forever?

There's something so awesome about a man falling for a woman and her kid, a la EASY FOR KEEPS.
As co-owner of New Orleans bar The Odyssey, Adam Spencer has no problem finding a warm body for the night. But lately he hasn't been interested in just another boink on the pool table, a problem exasperated when he meets Sarah Cox. New in town, social worker Sarah has every intention of steering clear of the Good Samaritan lurking inside the big, sexy man, but when she sees him again she can't seem to stop herself. She plans on a one night thing, but is pleasantly surprised when Adam not only wants to keep seeing her but her daughter Hailey, too. The two fall hard and fast for each other, but a desperate man after one of her families will put their new love on the line.
EASY FOR KEEPS is a novella in the Boudreaux series by Ms. Proby, as well as an offering in the innovative and fun 1001 Dark Nights series featuring sensual and erotic stories by a variety of popular authors inspired by the classic The Arabian Nights tale.
I am so in love with this book! Having never been to the Big Easy, the town holds a magical quality in my imagination, and EASY FOR KEEPS didn't do anything to dispel that notion. Other than, you know, the rough areas and the domestic violence thing, natch. Adam and Sarah had terrific chemistry, the kind that can't really be explained but it is prevalent nonetheless. And Hailey, I adore her little five-year-old self! The sex was flawless and erotic, and the connection just jumped out at me. I definitely want to read more in the Boudreaux series!!
Bottom Line: Another great addition to the 1001 Dark Nights series!
