Where there's smoke, there's dragon fire.

Ordinary girl. Extraordinary fate.

Violet Winters is having a less than perfect day. Her parents are meddling with her love life (again), her wintery magic is kaput and her vivid dreams are coming far too close to reality. When she falls through the ice after seeing her fiancé all close and snuggly with a fellow polar bear, all bets are off. Is she better off dead or will she get another chance at life when a Grimare angel rescues her from her chosen fate?

Fire meets ice and passions ignite.

Dante is a dragon on a mission: fight the string of strange fires springing up around Westmore and find a mate. When his Captain decides to have the men pose for social media shots to garner attention for the station, Dante finds himself in the middle of a steady stream of women after his special strategically placed "fire hose."

At Hot Whips Café to haggle with the owner for counter space for their new firemen calendar, he meets a woman who sets his inner scales on fire. Can he save her from the machinations of the Fates or will she die a second time by the very threat Dante fights against?

A dragon's panty melting kiss may just be the wow this curvy girl needs.

Life is really disappointing for Violet. Her fae family is disappointed in her lack of magic and her fiance is more interested in another woman than spending time with her. Luckily for her, an angel takes her under his wing and saves her from drowning. He gives her a second chance. One problem, she just has to find out what her purpose is in one month or face death again. It may even involve a very hot dragon shifter.

This short story features a young fae woman named Violet and a dragon shifter named Dante who seem destined for each other. She is saved from a life with people who don't appreciate her by an angel who sees the potential in her and wants her to have a second chance at life. Dante is a dragon shifter and a firefighter. He lives in a small town and keeps his fire abilities a secret from others. He is trying to find out the cause of some fires in the area and also dealing with a lot of attention since a calendar featuring photos of him and other firefighters was released where little was left to the imagination. When these two meet, there is a magical connection.

The story has a Cinderella-like feel to it. You feel bad for Violet who is treated like she doesn't matter by the family who should love her the most. She is strong but even she wonders if she has a life worth living. When she is given a new life and a chance to start over (by an angel instead of a fairy godmother), you root for her success. Her new life comes with a short time frame (but not as short as midnight) so she is not out of the woods yet. Her meeting Dante (her prince) sets her on a course of action that she would never have predicted. The chemistry between these two flares up immediately.

The author hooks you into this quick read from the very beginning. The clock is ticking for these two to find their happiness or the fates will end her second chance. Violet is determined to enjoy her new life. Dante is a true prince and shows her the love and affection she was denied in her old life. This story has a fairy tale feel and also includes a mix of action and humor that make it even more fun to read.
