"Her whole body tensed. He was too close and yet not close enough. Wanting his hands on her, his lips against her skin, the pulse of his body smothering her, in a rush of desire Sara lifted onto her toes, taking possession of his mouth."

Sara Rozek and her alluring boss, Will Carlisle, have been fighting to repress their mutual attraction for too long. Part of a dynamic team at Razz Marketing, they maintain a professional distance, though the very thought of Will makes Sara ache with desire.

Try as they might to avoid temptation, they are only denying what their friends and coworkers can easily see – that it is only a matter of time before the smoldering passion between them ignites.

The sexual tension between Sara and Will only grows when they are thrown together in a frantic effort to save a client relationship. However, when Will's future with the company is unexpectedly jeopardized, they are suddenly faced with the prospect of lasting separation. Complete with rumors surrounding Will's departure from Razz Marketing, making her believe that she has been used and manipulated by a handsome womanizer, will there be any future for Will and Sara?

YOU NEVER COULD BE is, at many points, a very sexy story and the quality of the writing improves significantly over the course of the work. That said, the story does contain some noticeable spelling and grammatical issues.

Additionally, there are some occasional instances of odd or distracting syntax, such as "mentally writing a response to the email in her head" and "her shirt pulled into his hand." These types of errors are common in early drafts and, with a bit of increased editing, the story could flow much more smoothly.

Despite some editing challenges, Amy Romine's love scenes are quite steamy and well-written. Will and Sara's mutual seduction is genuinely fun to read, and the author introduces just enough delayed gratification to keep the reader engaged throughout the story. Moreover, the story comes to a thoroughly heartwarming and delightful conclusion that is certain to please her readers.

Though the reader may encounter a few bumps along the way, YOU NEVER COULD BE is a short, sexy tale that will deliver plenty of intense passion while providing a sweeping, happily-ever-after that is likely to satisfy almost any true romantic.
