LGBTQ, Paranormal Romance

Dead of a heart attack at only twenty-two years old, Abigail Campos is far from thrilled to find herself in the afterlife. Her guide, a prim, sweet banshee named Renata, definitely makes the transition easier, but Abbie doesn't know if the two of them can make it work: she's asexual and Renata is bi. Harsh past experience has taught her it's not worth the risk, and she seriously doubts it's going to be any different now that she's dead.

WELCOME TO YOUR AFTERLIFE has me reeling in the aftershock of this 40 some odd pages of confusion and wonder. Completely different concept of an afterlife where there are vampires, banshees and the like. However, when a mere asexual human girl enters the picture and assigned her job, things take a turn.

There is no romance or erotica, just a hint of something at the end, that is all. That being said this idea is so unique Ms. Rabig could actually take this and weave one hell of a series. This concept is that unique and if you're a creative type, read this and then sit back and think about the many different ways this could play out in a series. I have to stress this is seriously worth the read for sheer originality; there is nothing out there like this.

Although I gave this a three star rating due to original thought and concept, if this was put in a series with this storyline and theme, it definitely would be a 4 to 5 star rating.
