When bad things happen, is fate or bad luck to blame? Lucy Blake didn't believe in fate, but knew how dangerous bad luck could be.
Lucy was having a really bad…well, life! She put it all down to having the worst luck in the world. She had always thought that perhaps someone had replaced the L in her Luck with an F. Running for her life, being chased by a drug dealing, murdering people trafficker was just the icing on top of a craptastic cake. She found herself in Grey River hurt and alone, but with offers of help and protection coming from the two EMTs who had saved her.
Cody and Brendan Anderson were Grey River Pack beta. They find more than an unconscious woman when they answer a call for help. They had just had the very good fortune of finding their mate! Now they just had to convince her to let them keep her.

JUST LUCY'S LUCK is the second book in the Grey River series. I haven't read book 1 yet, but trust me, I will!!! This only had a negative impact in that I wanted to know more about Ty, Trent, and Faith. The story involving Lucy, Cody, and Brendan was more than capable of standing on its own feet.
Lucy has not had an easy life. She left home at sixteen and has worked hard to make her way since then. She has made mistakes, who doesn't at that age? However, the latest mistake may just cost her her life. She manages to escape a bad situation before she collapses. She wakes up in hospital, not knowing who she can trust, not even herself. Cody and Brendan knew she was their mate the minute they found her at the truck stop. Now they just need to convince her of that...
I don't know what it is about shifters and ménage romances, but they tick all the right boxes for me. Maybe it is the writing of Maia Dylan, who is fast becoming a favourite author of mine. I don't know. All I do know is that this book practically read itself! It is hot, full of action, a hint of mystery, and with plenty of humour too. I loved the tip o' the hat to Lucille Ball, although in this case it was Lucille Hall. Who doesn't know, or knows someone who knows someone, that has been saddled with an icon's name?! And then the comment about the teasing at school - loved it! There is also a comment about a wolfy tantrum, and smacking a BIG wolf on his nose. Trust me, you need to read it to get all the minute details, but they are there for the taking!
Excellently written, with a smooth pace, and no editing or grammatical errors to disrupt the reading flow. This book was a delight to read from beginning to end, and is definitely a keeper. Highly recommended by me.
