Trick…or wicked treat!

It was a devastating dirty trick—Joey Silvia just found out her boyfriend of two years is married. What. A. Dick. Joey knows her best chance to get over one guy is to get under another. Of course, heading home to her family's remote cabin in Oregon poses some challenges in the "available men" department…until she discovers this cabin comes with its own hot handyman!

Holy crap, Chris Steffensen. When did her brother's best friend turn into a hard-bodied pile of blond-bearded hotness? He's the perfect Halloween treat—and a surprisingly dirty rebound guy. For a couple of weeks, anyway. Except that Chris has other ideas…like proving to Joey that this blast from the past is a whole lot more than a naughty Halloween hookup.

4.5 "Trick or Treat" Stars!

This year Tiffany Reisz is sharing the holidays with us in her own special way. Reisz fans will be enthusiastic to learn that she is releasing 3 novellas, 1 each around the time of Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas this year. Each romance centers around a different "man at work" (a contractor in the case of this book) and can be read as a standalone.

The first book, HER HALLOWEEN TREAT, proves to be a delicious treat and decadent, yet calorie free way to spend a day or two leading up to Halloween. At just a little over 200 pages, this wicked and yet romantic Halloween-themed second chance at love romance can easily be read in just one sitting while also warming your heart and keeping you eagerly turning pages to see if the featured couple can accomplish their HEA.

Joey needs a time out after the man she thought she'd be walking down the aisle with had already done the deed but forgot to tell her. So she leaves her home and job in Hawaii for a vacation back home to a rural part of Oregon where she plans to lick her wounds and heal, as well as put in an appearance at her brother's wedding (a wedding which her brother so kindly planned on her Halloween birthday of all days).

Expecting to find a dilapidated cabin, Joey is stunned to find a completely renovated cabin. Moreover, even more stunning is the fact that her brother's childhood friend, Chris Steffensen, is the man who renovated it all and is still in the process of putting the last few touches when she arrives. She hardly recognizes the strong, handsome man he has become, even if Chris still looks at her with those same infatuated eyes. She always knew he was a loyal friend but now she can't help but notice so much more about Chris. But notice she does, and soon Joey has to start asking herself if it's fair to have her "rebound" man be her brother's and her own childhood friend. Perhaps if she can strike the right deal, this vacation back home will be just the Halloween treat she needed, so she can get back to her life in Hawaii renewed and refreshed.

But Chris is playing for keeps and he is willing to pull out as many wicked Halloween tricks as are necessary to make sure Joey doesn't get away this time. Just who will win in this Halloween game of hearts?
