SUMMARY
One sub to please the Master…in any way he wishes.

Victor Connagher is no stranger to the Dallas BDSM scene. As CEO of a risqué cable channel that caters to adventurous adults, he ensures the lifestyle is portrayed in a positive light. He even supports a local bondage club. Yet behind the cool, confident mask, Victor lives in fear.

Once, and only once, he lost control of his inner Dom—and it cost him his fiancée. Now, no one knows how hard he works to keep his darker appetite for pain buried. No matter how much his saucy, confident associate producer makes his fingers itch to once again take up his riding crop.

Shiloh Holmes is a sub, but she's no doormat. She's always suspected Victor has the skills to feed her insatiable need for pain, and now she's found the perfect way to crack his formidable control. Develop a new reality show, America's Next Top sub…and dare him to compete.

Week after week, as Shiloh fearlessly challenges the real Victor to come out of hiding, he realizes his past mistake was only a blow to his pride. If he loses Shiloh, he could lose his heart.

Warning: Explicit sex, BDSM, reality television, a very reluctant Dom, an audacious sub willing to do anything to win for him, and one very wicked riding crop.

Hang in here with me because I have a confession to make before getting to the good (and I do mean gooood) stuff. After waiting like a kid at Christmas for the second book in the Connagher series to finally make it to my Kindle, I found myself disappointed after reading the first paragraph. In fact, my dears, I was well into the first chapter before the heebie jeebies left my stomach and satisfaction began to roll in. I can take a whole lot of hawt in my stories. Bring on the meneges, tie-em-up, and go places only the most wicked have gone before, but the idea of sadomasochism wasn't revin' my good-read engine at all. Quite the opposite. I found myself way outside my comfort zone.

That is, until Victor and Shiloh stole my heart.

Hats off to Ms. Burkhart as she has once again proven herself a master of developing complex, likeable characters in a world most view as unpalatable.

In this book Victor Connagher, the crop wielding CEO and Dom, struggles to accept himself and his need to inflict pain, while Shiloh, a self-aware masochist, steadfastly persues him accepting no less than Victor meeting every one of her painful and erotic needs. If you are a fan of the series, the awesome parasol-wielding grandma only makes a cursory appearance, but a crop-wielding mama is there to keep the youngest Connagher in line and a whole host of fetish friends work to add drama and hilarity to the story. The game show plot kept the story moving rapidly with twists and turns, highs and lows. The end was full of suspense and a final heartfelt moment left me with a sigh, before I flipped back to page one and read the whole story again. That's when you know it was a satisfying ride--when you are unwilling for the journey to be over. There must be a big ol' V on my back because Victor has sure left his mark.
