A werewolf and a deer shifter. There's never been a game of predator and prey quite like this...
I'm Wolf, Officer Aidan "Wolf" Savage. I'm a werewolf. But unlike most of my kind these days, I'm one of the good guys -- even if I do scare the hell out of most people the first time they meet me.
When a white-tailed deer shifter comes leaping into my life, she makes my body hotter than an erupting volcano. She's on the run, and she doesn't want my help. But I'm not about to let her get herself killed, and I'll use any means necessary to keep her safe.

Ever fantasized about a cop handcuffing you and using his hands, tongue and dick to interrogate you? Would you submit to an alpha wolf shifter who demands answers while coaxing your body to a feverish climax? Does it tickle your fancy to pretend to be the prisoner who happens to be a deer shifter? Did that last piece of information bring you to a screeching halt? It did for me. I was prepared for the worst when I read about a wolf shifter chasing after a deer shifter. Imagine to my surprise when I became fully engrossed with the story. This hot little story turned me on and made me want to jump my significant other.
Aidan Wolf is a cop in a world where shifters are common and integrated within the human population. He's on a stakeout at a park with his human partner when they see a woman running for her life. Wolf bounds after her and hunts her down.
The sex between the two is described vividly and it is hot. Aidan is definitely an alpha male. He is a predator and as a cop, it's even sexier. His dominant personality comes into play throughout this smoking little story.
Natalie is the white tailed deer shifter who is in trouble. She's afraid to trust the cops but she needs help or she could be killed. Even though she is a prey shifter, she is no weakling or victim. She does her best to fix the problems she's been handed. I like Natalie for trying her best to hold her own. I also like how flippant she is towards Wolf.
Every sex scene between Natalie and Aidan is drool worthy. There is some fun light BDSM play which increases the heat of the sex. Aidan also exudes sexual dominance while playing the "bad cop". Natalie isn't cowed and gives him a chase that increases his roughness with her. This hit many of my happy buttons.
While the storyline is very simplistic, the richness of the two shifters' interactions balances it. The story doesn't spend much time explaining the world. Instead, the focus is on the immediate threat at hand and how Aidan and Natalie can work together. And work together they do! I recommend this book to readers who want a sexy book as foreplay before they jump their significant other.
