SUMMARY
He's won the hearts of millions. But is he willing to lose his?

I met the president's son when we were both young. Matthew Hamilton was handsome, polished, and intelligent. I'd never met a guy like him.

He promised me that he'd never run for president. I promised that if he did, I'd be by his side.

Two terms later, an invitation to join Matthew Hamilton's campaign is the most exhilarating opportunity I've ever experienced. I'm determined to make a difference; he is determined to win.

Focused on his goal, Matt is steadfast, ruthless, and disarming. All eyes are on him and his popularity is surging. But soon, the next possible president of the United States is possessing me in more ways than one—and despite the risks, I'm helpless to resist.

We're stealing touches, stealing moments, and stealing away at night. But our chemical connection is quickly becoming dangerously combustive, putting not only my heart, but Matt's chance at the presidency on the line.

Winning will take everything.
Walking away will be the hardest thing of all.

When Charlotte Wells first met Matthew Hamilton, she was 11 years old. He was the much older, intriguing son of the then President of the United States. Growing up a senator's daughter, Charlotte lives and breathes politics. She even goes so far as to offer up her campaigning services, should Matt decide to ever run for President. Little does she realize but that one meeting and her unabashed, youthful bravado would set a course that would change her life forever.

Fast-forward 11 years and Matt is running for President as an independent. Imagine Charlotte's surprise when she's tapped to join his campaign. Certainly Matthew "The Heartthrob" Hamilton doesn't remember her? However, much to her surprise, he not only remembers her, but there's something about the way he looks at her that makes her heart flutter and her knees weak. Before long, Charlotte is working closely with Matt and it becomes obvious to them both that the heat they're generating has nothing to do with the hot political race. Forbidden touches, stolen glances and wicked thoughts that would start a media frenzy travel between the two.

Matt wants her more than he's ever wanted any woman, but he knows if he becomes President, he would have to choose between the woman he can't be without and the love for his country. Charlotte wants him with a ferocity she's never felt and never thinks she will again, but any relationship between them would be political suicide. Can these two have any sense of a normal relationship with all the world watching, knowing that their hearts will suffer in the end?

Set against the backdrop of the usually boring world of politics, Katy Evans has succeeded in giving the reader an emotionally charged, highly erotic page-turner that could possibly burn your fingers! Caution: the heat between Matt and Charlotte is dangerously addictive. It's like putting your hand over an open flame. You know it's hot, but you become so entranced by its mesmeric beauty that you can't stop yourself from tempting fate. I loved how their relationship evolved with the clandestine meetings and their inner turmoil. They kept throwing up road blocks, and I cheered as those obstacles were successfully knocked down.

Despite their age difference, I love that these two are on equal footing. Katy Evans has written two characters who complement each other, perfectly. While Charlotte is bowled over by his pursuit of her, you get a sense that Matt not only desires Charlotte but he truly needs her. And in my opinion, there's nothing sexier than that. Thank you, Ms. Evans, for creating a new series that gives me a new couple to obsess over. I can't wait for the next installment, Commander in Chief!

5 red, white and blue stars for this political campaign trail romance!

At just 35, Matthew Hamilton is the youngest presidential contender in history, as well as the first strong Independent to have a shot. He's also the son of a very popular slain former president, giving him unique insight into the Oval Office. The daughter of a senator, Charlotte Wells has been infatuated with Matt ever since she was a young girl and his family came to dinner, so when he asks her to join his campaign as an adult, she readily agrees. The two share an immediate chemistry and as hard as they try to stay away from each other, their attraction can't be denied. But it's clearer with every campaign stop in every town in America, that Matt belongs to the country, not any one woman, and there are people around them that won't let either forget that.

As an obsessive follower of politics, I couldn't wait to delve into the sexier side of a political affair (instead of the seedier side we usually hear about all too often). The chemistry between Charlotte and Matt was palpable, and though I'm not typically a fan of NA reads (Charlotte is just 22), I found that I really enjoyed MR. PRESIDENT. While Matt had a maturity beyond his years, Charlotte was still very much a young girl, all stars and hearts in her eyes when it came to romance. However, Ms. Evans did a great job of making her mature in other ways, especially in her understanding of the political realm.

As the book went on, Charlotte began having a deeper understanding of just how much of a negative she could be to the campaign, but dammed if they could quit each other. Their sexy scenes were totally delicious, especially since all of their liaisons were fast, furious and heady stolen encounters.

MR. PRESIDENT ended with the mother of all cliffhangers, making me doubly glad that book 2, Commander in Chief, will be released here in a few days so I won't go completely insane with anticipation!

Bottom Line: No OM/OW or sharing; some condom use; no BDSM/kink; no sexual assault; no violence/murder.
