BDSM, Erotic Romance, Paranormal Romance, Vamps & Shifters Romance
Santana Jones barely escaped from the man-turned-wolf that attacked her during a camping trip that she'd won from a local radio station. But it turns out the radio station didn't have a contest and she didn't win. Then she meets the Luc who thinks he can detain her while he figures out this so-called mystery. Because of her past, allowing Luc to control her is out of the question even if he is the sexiest thing she's ever seen and she can barely keep her hands off him.
Luc Delemere, the powerful leader of the North American werewolves, didn't want a mate because her life would constantly be in danger. But when a bedraggled human crawls out of the icy river and stumbles into his barn, Luc finds it impossible to resist his sensual, but stubborn mate. The claw marks on her body confirm that she was attacked by a werewolf, but Luc wants to know who lured her to his land and why.
When Santana receives a note that says "Leave or Luc Dies," she betrays Luc to save his life.
Can Luc untangle a web of lies and betrayal to find his mate before the assassin does?

Kitty DuCane's world in SANTANA'S HEAT is populated with a host of alpha males that leave the reader longing for more. Her novel is brimming with sexy, powerful characters, with Luc and Santana at the head of the pack (pun intended), and the mystery had me going until the very end.
The excitement begins with the first sentence when Santana Jones, nearly frozen to death after jumping into an icy river to escape the man-turned-wolf that attacked her, crawls into a nearby barn to die. She is just starting to get warm again when a man rips away the blanket covering her and demands an explanation as to why she is snuggled up to his very valuable, very expensive thoroughbred.
Recognizing the tone of a man accustomed to immediate obedience, Santana bristles at his commands, but she is too weak to put up much of a struggle when he carries her into his home, strips off all her clothes, then bathes her. The heat of the water against her chilled flesh is much too wonderful for her to offer any resistance. However, once she's awake and realizes the man who saved her life, Luc Delemere, intends to keep her prisoner until he can unravel the mystery of her attack, Santana does what she needs to in order to get away. Because of her past, Santana refuses to allow Luc to control her, despite the fact that he is the sexiest man she's ever seen and she can barely keep her hands off him.
The last thing Luc Delemere, the powerful leader of the North American werewolves, wants is a mate, because his position alone would place her life in constant danger. But when a bedraggled human female crawls out of the icy river and stumbles into his barn, Luc's wolf instantly recognizes what the creature means to him and the man finds it impossible to resist his sensual, but stubborn mate. The claw marks on her body confirm that she was attacked by a werewolf, but Luc wants to know who did this to her on his land, and why.
Kitty DuCane's Luc is one of the sexiest werewolves I've encountered this year. He is rich, arrogant and very used to having his own way, so Santana Jones is a challenge for him in more ways than one. Their attraction for each other is almost instantaneous and leads to some very interesting play between them. Luc is a dominant, and he is fairly certain that though Santana is far from being a submissive to anyone else, that she would bend for him. Although he also senses that something has happened which makes her resistant to being dominated, so he treads carefully, using persuasion and seduction to get her exactly where he wants her.
I sincerely hope that SANTANA'S HEAT is only the first of many books to come, and highly recommend this book to readers who enjoy sexy, alpha werewolves and kick ass heroines. You will not be disappointed.
