THE KING OF WALL STREET IS BROUGHT TO HIS KNEES BY AN AMBITIOUS BOMBSHELL.
I keep my two worlds separate. At work, I'm King of Wall Street. The heaviest hitters in Manhattan come to me to make money. They do whatever I say because I'm always right. I'm shrewd. Exacting. Some say ruthless. At home, I'm a single dad trying to keep his fourteen year old daughter a kid for as long as possible. If my daughter does what I say, somewhere there's a snowball surviving in hell. And nothing I say is ever right. When Harper Jayne starts as a junior researcher at my firm, the barriers between my worlds begin to dissolve. She's the most infuriating woman I've ever worked with. I don't like the way she bends over the photocopier—it makes my mouth water. I hate the way she's so eager to do a good job—it makes my dick twitch. And I can't stand the way she wears her hair up exposing her long neck. It makes me want to strip her naked, bend her over my desk and trail my tongue all over her body. If my two worlds are going to collide, Harper Jayne will have to learn that I don't just rule the boardroom. I'm in charge of the bedroom, too. King of Wall Street is a sexy, standalone romance.

Max King is all about the bottom line. He didn't achieve the status of being a shark in pool full of guppies by taking no for an answer. When he sets his sights on a target, you can be sure it's a done deal. He's done a great job at keeping his work world separate from his private world; that is until Harper Jayne walked through his office doors. She's sexy, smart, and makes him think of all types of things that are so NSFW (not safe for work). Max has had his fair share of dalliances with females, but mixing business with pleasure is not an option.
Harper Jayne is a go-getter with daddy issues, as in her main goal is to show her father what he missed out on by not having an active role in her life. Working for Max King had been her dream, but that dream quickly turned into a nightmare. It seems only he can make her feel like a total failure with a few curt words. No matter how hard she tries, she just can never please her jerk-of-a-boss. However, Harper is dead set on changing his opinion of her because failure is not in her vocabulary.
When Harper and Max finally collided in the most delicious of ways, I swear I cheered! The heat and friction between these two were off the charts on the hotness scale. OMG, there is nothing hotter than a corporate bad boy who takes charge in the boardroom as well as the bedroom. But the kicker with this gem-of-a-story is that Harper was a take-no-prisoners type of girl. Sure, she may have been a little bowled over by Max, but damn if that girl didn't have him nearly forgetting his own name.
I also loved Max's relationship with his daughter and his sisters. Their interaction was clearly the comic relief in this story, and I found myself laughing out loud numerous times. This was a very well written, contemporary romance with quite a bit of sexual heat laced throughout. Be forewarned…it's so hot the AC may need to be turned up on high! I loved the flow of this story and the two main characters were expertly matched. Louise Bay is a new author to me, but I'll definitely be looking forward to reading more from her.
