SUMMARY
Ryker and I aren't exactly perfect.

But I was falling for him—and falling hard.

Every kiss. Every touch. Every embrace.

Just made me realize this wasn't a fling. It wasn't even a relationship.

It was so much more.

I just hoped Rex was wrong about Ryker. Because I didn't have the heart to listen to him say those terrible three words.

Told you so.

Despite all the warning bells that should have gone off in Rae's head, she finds herself falling for Ryker. Though his actions are that of man who appears to be thinking of forever with her, Ryker still has many secrets and seems intent on keeping it that way. It's my hope that Rae regains her senses and sees Ryker for what he truly is. I'm not a fan of his and cannot wait for the author to expose him to the light because there's something truly off about this man.

Zeke's unrequited love for Rae also takes a back seat when he finds himself in a relationship with Rochelle, a pediatrician. I found this pairing to be a bit forced with no real staying power. No matter how hard Zeke tries to squash his feelings for Rae, it's not going to work. Plus, I believe Rochelle has an ulterior motive. Saying the "L word" so soon…that's a sure fire way to get my suspicious mind working. I get that Rae has only viewed Zeke as a friend, but the girl has to be completely daft to not realize he wants to take her out of the friend zone.

Kayden's secret yearning for Rex leads her to tempt him with an interesting proposition. Of the three couplings, I find Rex and Kayden to be the most interesting. There's just something about a bookish, hot female who is completely oblivious to her effect on the opposite sex falling for a male who is a bit of a screw-up. Rex definitely has potential and just needs the right woman to set him straight.

This is book 2 in the Ray Series, and I'm still all in. The more that's revealed about these characters, the more I want to know. I'm interested to see where E.L. Todd will take us next. Bring on Ray of Love!
