Closer to 3.5 funny, sexy and action packed stars.
On his first op as lead, Walker Stillings is assigned to trail DARPA scientist Nadine Kincaid. He's not sure what's changed since he started watching her, but he's liking the new leather pants look. A lot. When she's snatched by terrorists who want her science expertise, Walker manages to insert himself and get kidnapped along with her. But it's not Nadine that Walker is with, it's her special ops twin sister Nadia. Nadia has been a GEM operative for a while and has never met a man comfortable enough to work along side her, until she meets the strong, secure Walker. She didn't want a partner with her on this op, but she's damn glad he's by her side.
EDGE OF TEMPTATION is book 4 in her S.A.S.S. Series as well as a stand-alone novel in the Titan World series by a variety of authors writing in and around the world of the Titan series by Cristin Harber.
EDGE OF TEMPTATION started off pretty slow for me, but once it picked up, I was thrilled with the humor, lighthearted suspense and delicious sexy times. The kidnapping scene was funny as hell – I loved the way Ms. Low wrote Nadia's character – totally in control, funny as hell and crazy intelligent. There were several editing snafus in this book, and the connection to Ms. Harber's Titan books, while very prevalent, contained several errors (like where Jared and Sugar's other kid was hanging out during the family getaway and the actual name of Titan – The Titan Group vs Titan Securities or TITAN). Nobody reading EDGE OF TEMPTATION as a stand-alone would likely notice, but fans of Ms. Harber's series would definitely find some things amiss. Even so, the S.A.S.S. Series looks fun enough that I'd check out more in this bunch.
Bottom Line: No OM/OW or sharing; no condom use; no BDSM/kink; no sexual assault; violence, murder.
