Darren McCorvey can't believe his good luck when sexy violet-haired Lisa Martinez sits across from him at a table in a restaurant. Never mind she's only at that table by mistake -- she certainly didn't intend to join a bunch of BDSM aficionados -- he recognizes a submissive streak inside her that she thought was nothing but a weakness. She can't believe this hunky guy is interested in her, but the things he's into attract and scare her all at once. She pretends she's interested to piss off her controlling ex-husband, and doesn't intend to let it go any further. And Darren has no intention of falling in love, ever again. But after one fierce kiss it doesn't seem to matter what they intended, what they've feared, or what obstacles their pasts can throw in the way.

I read the description, had to read it, and I have to say that I absolutely made the right choice. This book was immensely fun, utterly entertaining, and overall a marvelous read.

Imagine this: You're supposed to meet your overbearing ex-husband's colleagues to discuss business matters at a restaurant. You give the name that THINK is right, but you end up sitting at the munch of the local BDSM scene! Embarrassing, right? Maybe a little intriguing? Exciting?

Well, that's what happened to purple-haired Lisa, and her strength to stay during the munch (which is basically a no-pressure meeting of those involved in the BDSM and for those who are curious about the scene) changed the course of her life forever. She meets hot Dom, Darren, there. They start on a hot, relationship that shows Lisa that she can find strength through submission, while Darren learns that love can make even the strongest Dom a slave.

This book was outstanding! I just couldn't put it down. From the beginning, with this fantastically comical--and so easily believable premise, I was drawn into Lisa's immersion into the BDSM world. She's my favorite type of sub: she wants to submit, but she's not going to let anyone run over her. She's strong and gets even more strength through her submission.

Darren was the love ‘em and leave ‘em type, so he certainly didn't think that Lisa would be it for him, but he was drawn to her as much as she was drawn to him. From there, he was just a goner. How sexy is that!

There was also some subplot there with a jealous sub that gave some humor and drama to the story, but really Darren and Lisa were enough. They seemed mismatched at first, but they really were perfect for each other. I loved that they could laugh at themselves and not take themselves to seriously.

The chemistry between them was off the charts, which made the sex between them scorching. The dominance Darren showed was loving and sexy. There was some sexy spanking, a little flogging, and a whole lot of lovin'. Darren was just so unbelievably sexy, I'll tell you a little secret...I drooled a little bit over him. There, I said it. I stand by it. Read it, and you'll see.

So, PURPLE PASSION is just a fantastic read. With a unique plot, great characters, just the right amount of tongue-in-cheek, steamy love scenes, and that loving Dominance I just adore, I was entranced from the first word. What's even better is that I found a new author to read in Sindra van Yssel. I can't wait to read more of her work.
