Get ready to set sail...

Cameron Pompeo has always seen things, felt things, he could not explain, the biggest of which is a young girl named Jocelyn, who appears nightly in his dreams. When his cousin Reed Pompeo suddenly shows up in his dream, Cameron realizes that not only does Jocelyn exist, but she will be important to them both.

After a tragic accident kills her mother, Jocelyn Parker struggles with her guilt. She pushes away the two most important people in her life as a form of self-punishment and tries to convince herself that she made them up, despite the fact that a sense in the very depths of her soul tells her that they're real.

A cruise to the Mediterranean finally brings the three of them together. There, they make real memories and promises to each other, but what happens when the cruise is over? Will their love be strong enough to survive the outside forces that threaten to destroy their happiness?

Have you ever wished your dream lover was real? Jocelyn, Cameron and Reed were brought together by their dreams. As teens, the three become the best of friends in their dreams until they are ripped apart. She pushes away her fantasy friends as she struggles with her pain and guilt over her mother's death. They never truly let her go and she can't move on either. When they finally meet years later, the reality is better than they could ever dream of. Real life has its own dangers. Can they trust in the truth of their love or will they be torn apart forever?

Jocelyn is a young teen when she begins dreaming of Cameron and Reed. The dreams seem so real but she can't quite believe in them. Those nightly conversations comfort and entertain her at first. Later, she feels a strong attraction to them too. When her life is changed by her mother's tragic death, she pulls away and denies herself the comfort of their friendship. She tries to deny their existence but in her heart she knows they are real. Many years later, she gets another chance when she meets them on a cruise. They are very real and determined to show her how much they love her. She has to choose to believe in them and their love and risk her heart or lose them forever.

Cameron is an older teenager when he starts dreaming of a young girl who he only knows as Jocelyn. When his cousin Reed becomes part of those dreams too, he knows there is something more to them than fantasy. He has psychic abilities and has the ability to know things before they happen. It is an ability that causes him great pain at times as he knows he can't change fate. When Jocelyn pulls away from them both, he and Reed remain close and do their best. They become quite successful but no other woman calls to him. He knows his heart belongs to Jocelyn. He also knows they will get another chance.

Reed believes the dreams are real and Jocelyn is out there for them to find again. He is a very good-looking man who has no problem attracting women. To combat his loneliness, he gets involved with a woman that only looks superficially like the woman he truly loves. The relationship causes him a lot of pain over the years. When he finally meets Jocelyn, he is determined to keep her. He won't risk losing her again. She belongs with him and Cameron.

This is the second book in the Made in Heaven series which is an erotic paranormal romance featuring a ménage relationship among the characters. The first book in the series is Three Made in Heaven. The books have the same theme and both feature a young woman and two young men who meet in their shared dreams and are not sure at first that they are real. They don't overlap in terms of characters or storyline so you can read them independently in your preferred order. I highly recommend the first book. You can check out my review for that book here on The Romance Reviews.

I like that this series is different from most other romances and certainly from most erotic romances whether they are paranormal or contemporary. Lovers that find each other in their dreams is not the typical kind of story that you find in the romance genre. I really enjoy ménage romances but many don't focus much on building a relationship first and focus the story on the sex attraction and sexual interactions. I enjoy steamy scenes too but I get more enjoyment out of the story when the author builds a foundation for their relationship and really develops the characters. This series is all about the love and friendship that forms in their youth and develops into a mature relationship with a strong sexual connection.

One of the signs of a good story is when you really connect to the story and feel strong emotions about the characters and their actions. I struggled with my feelings and how I felt about the book because of my issues with some of Jocelyn's actions. It took me awhile to understand and forgive Jocelyn and learn to respect her. She pulled away from them to punish herself but causes them all so much needless pain. She was young so I gave her some latitude but then she does it again years later when she returns briefly in their dreams. It angered me especially on behalf of Cameron who feels so much guilt and pain for not being able to use his visions to protect her. It made her seem very weak but the author shows her growing and changing later in the book. She stands up for herself and for their relationship and I applauded her new strength. I like to read about strong female characters and while I was disappointed at first, she does redeem herself.

This book offers a different take from the usual stories in the genre. Like with the first book in the series, you get a story of true love that develops over the years through shared dreams. They are not sure at first what is real but the feelings are very strong and keep them from being able to truly connect with anyone else in a romantic relationship. Their first true meeting makes it clear that the love they feel is real and they are committed to making it last regardless of the challenges they face. While the books in this series are erotic romances with many sexual interactions between the characters, the author focuses a lot of attention on building a strong relationship among the characters first. The ménage scenes are very detailed and the men are focused on providing her pleasure and showing her how much they love her. I highly recommend the series to those who love the romance genre and are looking for something a little different from the norm.
