Ten is the magic number for readers looking for a taste of the forbidden. Editor Torrance Sene has put together a selection of superbly written stories in SACRED AND PROFANE: PRIEST EROTIC ROMANCE.

While each story serves up a delicious sense of naughtiness, the common bond is that one of the characters is a priest. I was pleased to discover 10 new authors to add to my list. It has been my previous experience that compilations often have at least one weak selection; that is not true in this case. Not only did I enjoy the stories, but they left me with an appetite for more.

The storylines are solid and well-developed for the length of each selection. The scorching heat level delivers a satisfying read. My favorite selection, Temptation Follows, stands out because of the forbiddenness of a young woman seeking to submit to her priest. There's a lot of effort spent building the tension between the two characters, creating a perfect backdrop for an explosion of passion.

I liked the ease in which these authors delved into what is often considered taboo. The end result made this reader quite pleased.
