- Book 2 of Hot in the City
Defense attorney Erin Rafferty has to be tougher than her male colleagues to prove herself in the courtroom. A pit bull in a teacup-poodle package, her hard-earned hard-ass persona isn't easily undone. But one man has proved himself capable.
Rugged, tattooed Detective Cruz is honest, solid—and his testimony on a past case devastated Erin's career. When a blind date has their paths crossing again, she has no intention of consorting with the enemy, even if her loss wasn't entirely his fault. Then she gets close enough to him to feel the sparks, and even Erin can't bring herself to object.
Undercover cop Daniel Cruz never dreamed he'd see that sexy lawyer ever again. She's just the shot of adrenaline he needs after being lost and alone too long in a job that's beginning to get the best of him. However, getting the cautious Erin to trust in something more than a series of hot trysts isn't easy. And with a new case threatening to put them right back where they started, this time their future together could be on trial, too.

5 "opposites attract" stars for ENTICING THE ENEMY!
When defense attorney Erin Rafferty first met Detective Daniel Cruz, it was on the stand and her case was on the line. After embarrassing herself and jeopardizing her career, she never wants to see him again. But it seems that fate has other plans for them, as his partner and her BFF are dating. Erin wants Cruz with a ferocity that scares the shit out of her, but she can't seem to stay away…or stop making a total ass out of herself. Both of them are so damaged, and neither is a good bet…right?
Sometimes books in a series suffer a sophomore slump, but not so with ENTICING THE ENEMY. I totally adored this read, adored Cruz and his damaged good-ness, adored Erin's bitchy insanity and adored the chemistry between the two of them. Cruz was formerly deep undercover for years with a NYC gang, almost losing himself in the process and shaping every decision he makes for his life now. Erin comes from a single addict mother and a fierce determination not to lose herself in a man like she watched her mom do over and over again. They were totally bad for each other, but somehow they were just so right together. I loved the ending but wanted more, more, MORE! Even just a nice little tidy epilogue would've been fantastic! Whatever, I'll be in line to pick up the next book in this series, Tease Me Tonight, as soon as it is available!
Bottom Line: No OM/OW or sharing; condom use; no BDSM/kink; no sexual assault; no violence/murder.
