5 "Fucking Miranda" stars for THE WRIGHT BOSS!
On the surface, Landon Wright has it all. An incredible professional golfing career, great friends and family, stunning home in Miami and a gorgeous wife…except for the fact that said wife is a raging bitch, he's sidelined due to a major injury and his family is a special brand of crazy. Now Landon is back in Texas and serious about leaving his wife this time…and it doesn't hurt that he's ass over teakettle for longtime friend Heidi Martin. Heidi is skeptical that Landon will ever leave his wife, and she will NOT be the other woman. But…if he really does file for divorce like he claims…then that changes everything. Except that Landon's working for his family's company while he heals from his injury…and he's Heidi's BOSS. Not to mention he's her BFF's HS boyfriend. The deck is just too stacked against them. Right? Wright.
THE WRIGHT BOSS is the second book featuring a Wright sibling, and I couldn't love this family any more!! To be honest, I was pretty on the edge about the fact that Landon was married. Though nothing physical happened until he technically left his wife Miranda, the emotional infidelity was something else. Miranda was a terrible person hated by everyone in Landon's life, and there was no love left there, but just be aware that this is a sticky sort of situation if you get triggered by even the slightest OM/OW sitch.
Anyway, other than that, the book was fantastic! The Wright family are a whole bunch of crazy, but they're irresistible. And I adored Heidi too; she was determined and ornery and all around lovable. The two of them had wicked chemistry, but I have to say that Heidi's chemistry with her girlfriends was even fabulous-er! The kind of giggly and flirty banter that any girl with close homies will appreciate. I'm already anxious to get the next story featuring a Wright, The Wright Mistake!
Bottom Line: OW-ish (Landon was technically separated when they shared their first kiss, but it was VERY shorty after and the emotional stuff had been happening for a while), no sharing; varied condom use (none after a discussion); no BDSM/kink; no sexual assault; no violence/murder.
