Book 3 of The Spanking Experiments
BDSM, Contemporary Romance, Erotic Romance

Despite her strict upbringing and meddling family, Glynis Coleman has entertained fantasies of being flogged all her adult life. But until she decided to answer an ad on a BDSM site, seeking participants for a survey on impact play, she had given up hope of fulfilling those fantasies in real life. And guilt over them led her to teach history in a Catholic high school, thus decreasing her chances of meeting anyone interested in indulging her secret desires.

Asa Baker, the Dom at Sensations who introduces her to impact play during one erotic night at the club, is everything she's ever dreamed of. Handsome, charming, and he loves to use a flogger. Asa has been searching for the woman of his dreams, and it doesn't take him long to realize he's found that woman in Glynis. Now all he has to do is convince her of the same thing.

FLOGGING FANTASY by Ravenna Tate is book 3 in The Spanking Experiment series and it was enjoyable. Having grown up in an Irish American catholic family, I can totally relate to Glynis' background, family expectations, and personal insecurities, which is balanced against Asa, one of the owners of Sensations and the dominant who is very interested in her.

Since this is another newbie into the world of BDSM story, there was some instruction (descriptions) of toys and expectations that were handled well without coming across as instructive, which would have detracted from the feel and pace of the story (so good). And Glynis' drops into subspace and both her physical and emotional reactions were well done.

Since this is a shorter story, at least on behalf on Asa, the bit of insta-attraction started before the story began and while this is definitely Glynis' story, I would have loved to hear more from Asa's perspective ("I wish you could see yourself as I do.") given Glynis' insecurities.

This is definitely one of those panty-melting stories that once you understand both their backgrounds and how they grew up, it will have you looking forward to the happily ever after.
