Stuart moves to Florida because he knows being out as gay and kinky won't be possible around his family in Iowa. It's a new start for him, and he's already made a kinky friend online. Now all he has to do is find the nerve to get out in real life.

Jeff has had nothing but bad luck in love lately. He's fluent in heartache and finally listens when friends tell him he needs to do something different.

Brandon faces a delicate balancing act between being the father of a brilliant teenaged daughter and trying to find a subby guy who will accept he's a package deal. He's not just alone, but lonely, and wants more than pick-up play at Venture.

When Stuart realizes he's been catfished, he's mortified. But is it a blessing in disguise? Can the three men find what they've all been looking for in each other, or will heartache continue to be their primary language?

Heartbreak of more than one kind is doled out in this tale. And even in the darkest of hours, with family and friends, it is possible to overcome disappointment and pain. This tale starts out with a young boy escaping from his narrow-minded family. Stuart is gay and leaves Iowa in hopes of finding a more accepting life in Florida. It helps he knows someone in Florida from fetlife. Things are looking up for Stuart, even his new job gives him validation he made the right decision. Then it comes all tumbling down when he heads to the BDSM club, Venture, and looks for his fetlife friend, Albert. Getting catfished makes Stuart look like a fool and yet, it is his lucky day.

Through a terrible prank, Stuart meets Brandon and Jeff. It is also the first time for Brandon meeting Jeff. Each of them were hoping to find someone to break up their loneliness but to find two at the same time, that is a miracle. The three of them hit it off and it's so good. Their kinky chemistry is delicious with Brandon as the dom with baby subby Stuart and subby Jeff. It is nice to see people with varying kink experience coming together. Watching Stuart learn his likes and dislikes is heartwarming. It rejuvenates Jeff and Brandon as they see it through Stuart's eyes. Ms. Dalton excels with kinky permutations. I like this because it shows that there is not just one way it has to be. It's the people involved in the relationship who makes the rules and what works for them.

As the triad's relationship develops, drama occurs with an ex-wife and abusive stepfather. This conflict in the story is pretty huge. And what makes it work for me is the dynamics between the characters. Brandon's relationship with his daughter is admirable. He does the best he can do for her within the bounds of his divorce. He supports her and stays consistent with her. When he brings his love life into his fatherhood sphere, it goes off better than expected. Especially as Emma, his daughter needs more than just one father to protect her.

Ms. Dalton creates complicated relationships and shows what it can take for it to come together. There are ups and downs, but in the end, through communication, they are able to find their happily ever after. Still, the story for these three does not seem finished. There are hints surrounding unresolved issues with Stuart's family. Hopefully we'll be able to return to this newly formed triad and see how it all works out.

This erotic romance is recommended to kinky readers who like how life's curve balls can morph into the best experiences.
