Alien hunter Aster is frustrated in more ways than one. Her team haven't had a proper encounter in months, and her cute teammate Wade is never going to see her that way - and no other man would let a woman like Aster take charge in a relationship anyway.
Until one night, out in the woods, when the team are engulfed in a white light - and overwhelmed with desire like they've never known. Suddenly Aster sees a new side to Wade, one that will let her give her alpha tendencies free rein...
But as the creatures they met return again and again, Aster begins to wonder what they really want - to see her and Wade together, or something more sinister?

"Somewhere in Aster's brain a little voice was telling her how ridiculous this was. She had been doing this for years, trying to make contact. Now that she finally had she should be jumping at the chance to go back and try again. To explore, to communicate. But somehow she had always assumed they would be the ones in control…and they weren't. Not by a long shot."
What if your dreams of alien life turned out to be real? What if your nightly searches of the sky wielded a response? What if it wasn't what you expected?
When Aster and Hagar joined the UFO Society, I don't think they ever anticipated the results. During one of their nightly vigils, with three other team members, they are suddenly overwhelmed with a desire so powerful, their vision becomes tunneled and that's when they meet them. The greys, as they're called. Powerful, otherworldly beings who want nothing more than what…to appease their curiosity? To exert control? To steal them away? As the story progresses, Aster is left with more questions than answers. When one of the other society members, Wade, becomes an integral participant in what's happening to Aster, will Aster lose it all when the aliens take them away? Or is there the potential to build something there on earth, so long as they continue to watch the skies?
Tanith Davenport's WATCH THE SKIES is a fun, fast read and an interesting take on the "what if" scenarios. What if there was other life out there? What if they came to earth? What if they weren't exactly friendly? What if their wants didn't match yours? What if they gave you what you truly desired?
