If you're looking for an erotic love story, this isn't the book for you. It is definitely an erotic story but there isn't any love in it, except maybe what the main character feels for himself. Don't get me wrong; the sex scenes are hot and steamy and well written. The book just wasn't what I expected.

Russell Schmidt has published vampire novels and adds to his fame and mystery by pretending to be a vampire himself. Women are throwing themselves at him, some for the sex and some to kill him. But there is one woman, Layla, who isn't all that she seems. After he has her, Russell sends her home in the same way he sends his other women out but Layla comes back. There is a twist to the plot, which I don't want to give away here but it is a fairly fitting ending for Russell's story.

If you want a quick, erotic fix, I would recommend this story for you. If you're really looking for a quick love story, not so much. Well written and I would probably read something else by this author, now that I know more of what to expect.
