I broke her heart ten years ago and left town.
She hates me, and rightly so. It doesn't matter that the rest of the country loves me, that I'm a starting quarterback with a multimillion-dollar contract. Because when I look in the mirror, all I see is a failure who was too young—and too afraid—to fight for what I wanted.
But I'm not that guy anymore, and all I need is one shot to convince her.
He has no idea what happened after he left. And now I'm supposed to work alongside him like we don't have this huge, messy history?
But I'm older now, wiser, and I won't let anything stand in my way of doing a good job for this league. Not even one overpaid, arrogant player who thinks we're going to kiss and make up.
News flash, buddy: I am over you.

When Weston Chase and Jane Royce split all those years ago, he never expected to see her again. But now that he's been added to the Hawks roster, and she's their assistant manager…there's absolutely no avoiding one another. The two start off doing an awkward dance, but soon find that connection they had all those years ago…a connection they're both eager to explore with the one who got away. Will their love be able to last the second time around?
Ms. Ryan always knows just how to grab your attention and not let go, and DEAR JANE certainly kept me intrigued, but not always in a good way! I started off loving both Jane and Wes, but as their connection continued, Wes became an asshat whose mind changed with the direction of the wind, and Jane became a stage-5 clinger who just agreed to let him decide her fate over and over. At first, I thought of her as a cool role model for her bad-ass career, but she really just let a man steamroll her and that wasn't awesome. Other than the crappy turn these two characters took, DEAR JANE appealed to me with the impeccable writing, yummy sex scenes and secondary characters. Regardless of my less than enthusiastic opinion of this book, Ms. Ryan is one of my favorite authors and I can't wait for Alexi's story, up next!
Bottom Line: No OM/OW or sharing; condom use; no BDSM/kink; no sexual assault; no violence/murder.
