Raised by a card-counting father, Kara is probably one of the best blackjack dealers out there but thanks to dad, none of the more reputable casinos will hire her and she needs money now. Lots of it. An opportunity to interview for a position at the Billionaire Club is her lucky break and she hopes to get her father's debts paid off along with his rising medical bills before she has one foot in the grave.
Resident bad boy and billionaire, Cash Westbrook ends up at her table and sparks fly as do the banter eventually leading to a scorching hot one-night-stand that cannot have a repeat if Kara hopes to keep her job. That is until Cash makes her an offer she can't refuse. A million-dollar bet. Cash agrees to pay her father's debts…if Kara pretends to be his fiancée.
This is a great contemporary story with a sexy billionaire, bad boys, mob elements, family angst, lust, passion, and love. So much love.
Likes: I really liked Kara. She's the right mix of sassy and smart with strong familial ties making her a great balance to Cash's once out of control lifestyle. Talk about opposites attract. The secondary characters really rounded out the story and added to the suspense elements, which were nail biting. And since this IS a romance, holy smokes, could Kara and Cash possibly be any hotter? You'll have to read the story to see.
