A new stand-alone forbidden romance novella in the Cards of Love Collection from New York Times bestselling author Cassia Leo.
tem·per·ance (ˈtemp(ə)rəns/submit) - noun
abstinence, moderation, or self-restraint.
Leah has been counseling high-profile addicts for almost a decade, so she's accustomed to the need for discretion. But her latest client, who goes by the name Mr. C, demands total anonymity. She's never seen his face, but his deep, rich voice occupies her naughtiest dreams and fantasies.
Mr. C's sex addiction is threatening to take over his life. The only thing keeping it from consuming him is his twice-weekly video chat session with Dr. Grayson. Though his webcam is pointed at a nondescript area of his study, her webcam is always pointed at those succulent lips and her long, lithe legs, which he can't stop fantasizing about. He must have her.
Will Leah and Mr. C submit to their forbidden passion? Or will they practice temperance when a dinner party they both attend presents them with the ultimate temptation?

temp·ta·tion (tem(p)-ˈtā-shən)-noun: "a strong urge or desire to have or do something. : something that causes a strong urge or desire to have or do something and especially something that is bad, wrong, or unwise."
Dr. Leah Grayson is a psychiatrist who specializes in addiction counseling. In a city where there are so many high-profile addicts, she's adamant about the need for discretion. However, Mr. C, her latest client takes it one step further demanding total anonymity. But what happens when her client becomes the subject of her naughtiest dreams and fantasies from his voice alone? While Mr. C keeps his face hidden, his video chat sessions with Leah fuel his fantasies and he can't stop thinking about her. When they meet at a party, the attraction is electric and what begins is a passionate affair that's ethically and morally forbidden. Then again, all is fair in lust and temptation.
Likes: Starting in their video chat and then when they meet, the chemistry between the two is scintillating. The taboo relationship grows quickly and when Leah and Samuel come together, you may need a fire extinguisher for your Kindle because. It. Is. Molten. Given that Leah Grayson is a psychiatrist and he, her patient, I really liked that Cassia Leo didn't avoid the very real problems that can occur when a doctor-patient relationship crosses the line.
I've yet to read any of the other stories in the Cards of Love series, but if this is an example, you're definitely in for a hot time. So grab your favorite beverage and a tasty treat, and get ready to curl up with CARDS OF LOVE: TEMPERANCE.
