Roseline knows how dangerous demons can be. Adame knows without a doubt witches have the ability to control him and trap him. What will happen when their hearts overlook the dangers they pose to each other? There is only one way to find out. THE ARCANE is a great paranormal romance with a great twist that keeps it from being ordinary. I love how Mur Rathbun was able to pull me in before the end of the first chapter and keep me entertained throughout the whole book.
Roseline is a witch, a witch who hasn't had much luck casting spells. As a matter of fact, most of the spells she has tried either didn't work at all or ended in explosion. Her coven is desperate to find out what is causing the increasing chaos around them and decides to let her try a spell passed down through her family. It's a spell that is supposed to give her the information she is seeking but instead she summons a demon!
Adame, a demon destined to rule the underworld, is surprised to find himself ripped from his world and at the beck and call of a witch on the earth plane. The tournament for the crown is only days away and the only hope either of their worlds have of remaining a peaceful place is if he can get back to his plane before his cousin is named king. His biggest surprise though is finding himself attracted to the witch that summoned him.
Will they be able to get him back home in time? Roseline is just now discovering the true nature of her magick. She's not even sure she WANTS him to go home!
THE ARCANE is fast read that left me wanting more. I couldn't wait to pick it back up when I was forced to put it down. And I don't think I would mind too much if Adame showed up here!
