Contemporary Romance, Erotic Romance, Ménage or more, Vamps & Shifters Romance

Everybody knows lycan mates are pampered and indulged, which is just why Lacie Chandler sometimes fantasizes about being matched to one of the large, rough men. None of her dreams, though, ever included being hunted, caught and bound to two determined males. That's just the kind of seduction Chance and Davis have been plotting for years.

With the threat of a demon lurking in the shadows, Chance and Davis are free to shrug off tradition and give into their more primitive desires. They only have one day to convince Lacie to do things their way or their dreams could all turn to nightmares. The only problem is chasing Lacie down turns out to be a lot harder than either man planned.

CHASING LACIE is a smokin' hot read pitting a couple of sexy shifters up against their less than submissive mate and showing us how erotic the chase can be.

Lacie abruptly finds herself being claimed by two rugged shifter males, and while she dreamed of being courted and mated by a lycan, it certainly wasn't like this. There was no wooing, no flowers, just being chased down in an open field. What's worse is that the men, Chance and Davis, don't see a problem with it.

Chance and Davis need to claim Lacie, like now. There is a demon targeting the unclaimed lycan mates and she's next on the list. They know what they have to do but didn't expect her to so resistant. However, with the danger closer than anyone expected, they have to get her on board before it's too late.

This book is super hot. With plentiful sex, Davis and Chance went after Lacie with a very determined purpose. It was sexy watching these men go after her so fiercely. While I didn't agree with their idea of romance, it was obvious they were very smitten with their mate.

The story was very interesting. With a demon going after shifter mates, the plot was suspenseful, action-packed and interesting. There was a hanging plot at the end setting up the next story in the series, and I am looking forward to seeing where that is going. This is the fourth book in the Sea Island Wolves series, but it can easily be read as a standalone.

The only complaint I have with the story is that I felt like Lacie was really one of those heroines I want to choke for being too stupid. I won't give away the plot, but knowing that she's in danger, she did something that was incredibly dumb and would only put her men more at risk for getting hurt because they were worried about her. Also, I felt like with her being human (even though she had been raised around shifters), Davis and Chance should have given her a bit more time to adjust to being a mate to both of them. I understand they knew she was their mate, but give a woman a break.

Otherwise though, I thought that CHASING LACIE was a very steamy read with a unique plot. It kept me interested from beginning to end, even though I had to shout at the characters a few times. I am very interested where the plot is going and look forward to reading the next book in the series.
