Contemporary Romance, Inspirational Romance
Wyatt Hansen has no fears about commitment, but only three years have passed since his beloved wife died, and he can't bring himself to break their annual dinner date—that is until he meets restaurant owner, Lara Farr. Lara doesn't have time for romance; she has a business to run. At least that's what she tells herself so she doesn't have to admit that commitment scares her. But Lara's business is failing, and it just may take a miracle—or marketing analyst, Wyatt Hansen—to save it. Can Wyatt rescue Lara's restaurant, help her overcome her fears, and prove he is good husband material?

Fantastic! This was an absolutely FUN read. Annette Irby is a highly talented author who can take subjects like friendship and heartache and combine them with the love of Jesus and turn out a story that will sweep her readers away.
In HUSBAND MATERIAL, Annette Irby brings two lonely people together through very real issues: trust and widowhood. Wyatt was a widower who spent Valentine's Day reserving the table at Lara's restaurant that he shared with his wife. Lara sees the sadness in his eyes and feels a connection with him, so she offers him friendship. Wyatt, in turn, sees how much he needs to move on in his life, and he's determined to help Lara succeed with her business and with moving on from her trust issue.
I absolutely loved the way this short story played out. The perfect combination of incredible characters, a bit of humor and God's faithful love. Dealing with issues of trust and letting the past go and moving on stand strong and true among Ms. Irby's words, and I highly recommend this sweet story to everyone out there who loves romance.
