Claire Jones never dreamed the fantasies she'd been having about the young guy next door would ever become reality, but after a push from her best friend and one encounter involving dirty laundry, she's getting more reality than one woman should be allowed. But with reality comes emotion, and Claire finds herself falling deeper and deeper under Ryan's spell.
Ryan Doherty wants in Claire's pants, but he soon discovers hot sex isn't all he's after. She makes him happy in a way nothing and no one else ever has, and if he has to use their amazing chemistry to stay in her life, he will. Because having more of Claire isn't an option. It's the only choice.
Can Ryan and Claire bridge the age gap to find the love of a lifetime, or will what others think destroy the best thing either of them has ever found?

Scorching romantica done right!
Claire never thought her wild fantasies about her much younger neighbor would ever come to fruition, but a not-so-gentle push from her best friend and ingenious move by Ryan, has all her fantasies come to life. The only problem is the very real emotions that have her falling deeper and deeper under the spell of a younger man who couldn't possibly want permanence with an older woman. Or could he?
I'll confess to being particularly picky about my erotica. Oftentimes, I simply cannot get past the ‘Dear Playboy' aspect (the lack of any storyline) and the terminology that I tend to find crass and unsexy. Interestingly enough, there is a bit of that in this story but in this case it didn't detract from my overall enjoyment. Though I have to point out, who answers the door naked except for a thin silk robe? All that was needed was for Ryan to be delivering pizza instead of carrying his dirty laundry. Also, the speed that the two characters jump into sex would normally put me off, but the flow of the narrative and likeability of the characters made it easy to enjoy the erotica, and boy was it scorching. Multiple times over.
There are several sex scenes before we get to the crux of the older woman/younger man trope and unfortunately, that delay does take away from the depth of the story. Also, the nasty instigator to all the self-doubt that Claire has about being older also felt a bit tacked on, which is a bit of a bummer because the older/younger trope is ripe for angsty decisions. I would have loved to have these likeable characters talking about and dealing with the age difference from the get go.
Overall, a sizzling erotic novella that was very enjoyable, if a tad shallow.
