Erotic Romance, Vamps & Shifters Romance
Noah Bandish, an Emergency Medical Technician for the city of New York, has a secret. He's a vampire.
Boredom is an ongoing problem for the undead and with his job Noah has found a way to both keep active and feed. No one seems to question why so many of his patients die before they get to the hospital.
Then he meets Dr. Rachael Morehouse, a woman who'd make his heart beat faster--if his heart were still beating. Now he must decide if he wants to use the woman for his own wanton purposes or turn her and keep her at his side for eternity.
When rogue vampires arrive in Manhattan and begin to create chaos, Noah knows he'll have to help clean up their mess all the while fulfilling his own blood lust.

If you're craving a good vampire story, try this one! Carlene Rae Dater has created a really good short story using a unique premise.
Noah Bandish is an EMT who works nights. He gets to see people at their worst--injured, bloody or just plain dead. Oh, did I forget to mention that Noah's a vampire! But not just any old vampire, he gets indigestion if he drinks alcohol tainted blood! That made me laugh out loud!
Being an EMT has got to be the perfect job for a vampire. Noah spends his nighttime working hours, saving lives and feeding at the same time. How does his partner not know that he's a vampire? It helps if your partner has an aversion to blood. Yes, EMT Jake Holden can't stand the sight or smell of blood. He's helpful to Noah at an accident scene, but Jake really excels at driving the ambulance at breakneck speed to get the victims to the Emergency Room.
Noah is lonely and depressed. Not a good combination for anyone, much less a vampire. His life changes, when he and Jake take a call to an accident site where he meets Rachel Morehouse. Rachel took a header off her bike and ends up in the Emergency Room, where she works as a doctor. Noah is drawn to Rachel and does his vampire thing to ensure that Rachel will have lustful thoughts about him and will want to see him again.
In the midst of the blossoming love affair, a group of new, young vampires are terrorizing the city. People are dying with their throats ripped out and their blood drained. The older established vampires must take care of this threat to their comfortable way of life, but will they succeed?
I'm amazed at how much character development and action the author has packed into this short story. She's managed to develop a really hot, erotic storyline between Noah and Rachel. Not to mention the conflict between the established vampire regime and the new upstarts who want to take over! I had a great time reading this story on my commute into the wilds of DC!
