LADY NORTHAM'S WICKED SURRENDER is irresistible! You may fight it, but you'll surrender to Ms Westlake's delicious writing. In spite of the plot not being very unique, I enjoyed very much how it developed.

Rowena wasn't expecting to meet Simon again, after all the time he spent in India. But now she's a widow, will he still want to be with her? Why did he leave her in the first place? Simon never forgot Rowena and now he has the opportunity to have her back. However, can he forgive her betrayal for marrying his best friend?

The characters weren't flat and the secondary cast had their shine too, but nothing that would take our minds of the main couple! Rowena and Simon were a delight together, they were so good I wanted more! They really deserved a full-length novel. The pacing was great and the dialogue just right, however, the story could have had explored more of the setting.

Nevertheless, it was well wrapped up and I especially liked the last couple of lines. I wonder if things could have been resolved in a more interesting way, but it was very satisfying though! I'll definitely read the next book of this series and other titles by Vivienne Westlake.
