SUMMARY
Maggie. Drop dead gorgeous brunette. Retro-blues singer, Maggie is, and a damn fine one, at that. Maggie's all class. Too classy for Nashville. Far too classy for the likes of me.

Me, I'm a cop with a real nose for crime -- I'm also a werewolf. Now I'm undercover, chasing a serial killer, a bloodsucking bastard of a rogue vampire. And he's close. So close I can almost smell him. I have to be here, have to stop him before he kills again.
Before he takes the bait. Before he kills Maggie...

What could be better than a story about a hot Nashville PD Officer? How about a hot Nashville PD Officer who's a werewolf? Singers, waitresses and prostitutes are being strangled, drained and thrown in the Cumberland River by a rogue vampire who is terrorizing the female population of Nashville.

Shelby Morgen has created a riveting tale around a centuries old grudge involving two men and the woman they both want. Maggie is a lovely chanteuse with a deep sexy voice that blends oh so well with the blues that she croons. Being a curvy, voluptuous woman with flowing dark hair and dark eyes, Maggie also fits the rogue vampire's killing profile to a tee.

Trip, the Nashville PD werewolf, has been bitten by the love bug and must protect Maggie or die trying. Trip has recognized from scenting Maggie that she is his soul mate. Will she feel the same? Is Maggie truly as helpless as Trip thinks she is?

This was a terrific tale to while away a rainy Saturday morning! I really enjoyed the way the author infused bits of humor when the story became gritty. Trip doesn't shield his thoughts very well against the vampires and Maggie, who can also read his thoughts, ends up kicking the crap out of his shins. It's a good thing Trip is a werewolf and heals quickly! There's a wicked twist at the end that I didn't see coming and made the story that much better. I'm looking forward to reading more quirky stories from award winning author Shelby Morgen!
